I discovered Bull Dog while working in Scotland. I suffered a bad wind burn on my face and hands and my usual moisturizer offered no relief. A clerk in an Edinburgh pharmacy shop told me that Bull Dog was the best product he'd ever used. I tried it, and man was he right. It instantly eased my burn but cleared up my chaffed skin in less than a day. I also found, after a week's use, that it made my face feel smoother, ended flakiness around my nose and eyebrows (a problem I've had for years), and left me wondering why I haven't discovered Bull Dog until now. I've tried a lot of face creams over the years and this one works best for me. I have some condition, can't remember the name right now, but it causes my eyebrows and the space between to get all dried out and flakey. Nothing I have tried works more than just an hour or so. This Bull Dog cream is the first that has kept my dry brow moisturized most of the day. I massage it into my beard as well because I have beard dandruff. PROS: -Price point to me is just right for it's function - I have a large range of skincare products and I find this to be priced appropriately -Moisturizes fairly well (mostly due to the thickness/occlusive consistency) -More natural ingredients NEUTRAL: -It does have an earthy fragrance which I feel like some people may love it or hate it. CONS: -Almost all moisturizers I have used are more like gels/emulsions which I prefer because it is lighter. But this one is more like a clinique dramatically different moisturizing lotion or a cetaphil lotion vs. the gel version or moisture surge. -Compared to my other moisturizers, this does make my face appear a bit oilier later in the day but it may have to do with it being thicker than your typical moisturizer ... show more

Top Level: A face lotion that performs at the highest level despite its price range matching the supermarket brands Good: Bulldog products in general are a great value in performance vs. cost, and this face moisturizer may be the best of the lot. A little goes a long way, as just a small, dime sized amount keeps my face fresh and smooth all day without every looking too greasy. The smell is great--fragrant, but still very natural, and gender neutral (I've compared it to a softer version of Aveda scents before). Don't go overboard on $20-30 boutique brands without giving this one a try; my guess is you won't be disappointed. Bad: I'm reaching here, but excess lotion tends to harden up around the squeeze bottle opening, forming a crusting ring of dried cream that can mix in with dispensed lotion quite easily if you don't wipe the bottle first. Goes off of Prime quite regularly. Other: Bulldog has no SPF in it. If you are expecting UV protection, you'll need to add a layer of something else. ... show more
