  • too good, too fast. some things to be aware of when receiving your first eboard
originally this review was covering the defective remote I got, but I'm editing it because it was so easy to replace and I really want to cover how effective the board is without the defects. the ER meepo board exceeds my expectations aside from the issues I was experiencing! I would highly advise you be very careful if this is your first eboard. the board itself is extremely zippy in pro mode so its of course my favorite, and it was a fun surprise to learn that it indeed went the opposite direction with the double press of a button, so be aware that it can do that. between danger and fun id say this is too much fun and easy to forget that you might disconnect right before you need to break, so never put yourself in a position where you will run into something if you can't break fast enough like a wall, bridge, busy street, etc. its easy to lookout for obstructive gravel on the ground, the board FLIES over it though, aswell as sticks and stuff. its easy to loose your balance if you are not experienced, so please hold your friends and family that want to try it. I think meepo is still kinda new to people as a product, people do not expect me to be flying up the hill at or over 25 mph. you should REALLY watch for people turning left who might not expect you to be hovering by them with great speed like that! this board is really awesome, and if your remote/board disconnects a lot after you receive it PLEASE contact them as its not normal and could happen at the worst time. and yes, it goes over 28 mph, its not hard to get to but be careful of the wobble and anything in your path you don't wanna hit a big rock or something ... show more

  • Who knew streets could feel like waves.
Style: FLOW
This is my 4th electric skateboard. My last board was the meepo V4 ER, which was already a monster. The Meepo Flow is a whole different beast. It has some serious power to it and really all the bells and whistles of a premium electric street board. Every part of the board is to make you feel like you’re surfing the smoothest ocean waves. It’s such a soothing ride with the wide deck, bulky wheels, and extra wide trucks. I've gone 32mph on a slight downhill so far and it was surprisingly stable. Normally I like hub motor boards, but this is the exception. Meepo did this one right. ... show more

  • Not built to last more than 6 months
Style: Mini5 ER
I’ve owned several Meepo electric skateboards and there’s a reason they only come with a 6-month warranty. Components such as the battery and the ESC will stop working and if you’re out of warranty, expect to pay hundreds of dollars to get a replacement from Meepo. If something breaks during the warranty period, you’re expected to do the repairs yourself (which can be trivial or difficult, depending on the part and the board). A battery issue can result in the board suddenly shutting down while it still has battery. This means your brakes can suddenly stop working while you’re riding your board. Something to keep in mind when riding, especially in traffic. ... show more

  • Ex boosted board riders review
My freshman year of college I had a boosted board. I would ride it to class everyday. It made life exponentially easier. I rode it until I burnt the battery out, by the time I did that, boosted co had dissolved and their parts were being sold online at an extreme markup. I waited for a long time to see which big players stuck around in the e-skateboard market. One name that stuck out to me was Meepo. Three years later I pulled the trigger again and bought this board and it is sweet! The acceleration is incredibly smooth I switched the ride mode to level 4 on the first ride and I was back to cruising. One concern I have is that my campus is a little dusty because I’m in the desert and I have felt the wheels slide a few times but I need to do more testing with this. The deck is extremely grippy and the controller has this haptic feedback which feels very deluxe. Overall for half the price of a boosted board this product blows boosted out of the water. ... show more

  • We will see how company respionds to request
Style: FLOW
I loved everything about the Board, although after having it just at 6 months, the charger has was acting up and now it's totally quit. You had to thump on it to get it to turn to the red light in charge before and now either dump on it. The red light blinks, but it doesn't stay on to charge the board and very few days over the 6 months, I hope they take care of me. I will update . ... show more

Carving the streets like butter for hours. Really a great board and a fun experience.

  • Unstable throttle.
Style: FLOW
This actual deck is very nice, the wheels are great, but there's a huge flaw with the throttle system. When accelerating or slowing down, and returning to neutral positon on the hand control the board jerks HARD. I have been an experienced skateboard/longboarder for over 10 years and I have been thrown off the board multiple times due to the jerking. It's unfortunate I'll never get to use the full potential of this board without indefinitely risking a wipeout. ... show more

  • Wheel fell off in first mile
The media could not be loaded. The wheel fell off on my first trip, absolutely not cool one teeny tiny bit. I'd rather have eaten a pavement-sandwich on my own stupidity then have the wheel on a 700$ skateboard fall off in the first mile. Good thing I sold my car and bought a 350$ helmet in anticipation for this. This was depressingly disappointing... I wanted to buy the Voyager X but now I'm back at the drawing boars. Like what the heck happened? This couldn't have just happened to me? Update * After watching a YouTube video of a guy losing a wheel on the first ride I realized the issue. Needed to add some loctite to the wheel and it works fine now. Went out and put 12+ miles on it. Went 23 mph up a 20$+ incline easily, but didn't wanna push any faster till I have a full face helmet.. cheers. Sorry I overreacted on the first review meepo. ... show more
