Description

Size:Medium with Side Extender and Clip Set The EarlyGrow system’s usefulness to experienced gardeners is further enhanced by the addition of sought after vented height extenders which allow the young plants to mature in a controlled environment during early development. These same extenders offer a great solution for direct sewn seed in outside seed beads early in the growing season providing a Green house effect while protecting the plant from cold mornings and inclement weather as they first emerge. The heavy duty tray and durable dome will provide years of three season use without damage from sun, water, soils, and organic materials. The 95468 set includes a set of 4 easy to attach plastic clips to connect the lid and base together, making for a more stable structure. This keeps the kit more secure as you remove the lid and sides from the tray. The whole set is an ideal way to cultivate herbs in the kitchen window providing fresh herbs for cooking.

Definitely feels sturdy and solid. The plastic isn't thin - it's a similar build quality to plastic storage boxes (ones used for shoes and stuff) but better. I'm certain that this will last longer than other greenhouse kits, so I'm happy that I bought this. The Lid fits snugly on top and doesn't move around. What's nice about the lid is that the lip(?) goes inside the propagator, which means that when there's condensation on the lid, water will go back into the green tray instead of out of it. What's great is that the Seedling Starter Trays 9GreenBox - Seedling Starter Trays, 144 Cells: (24 Trays; 6-cells Per Tray), Plus 5 Plant Labels that I bought for this easily fit within the Propagator. It can fit 6 full 6-cell trays with an additional one that's cut out to 4-cells. So you can get 40-cells within this Propagator. The Starter Trays are measured at 5.25" x 3.5" x 2.25" (LxWxH). Love this unit but with one issue as others have stated. The lid doesn’t fit properly. Solution secure the lid to the base with tie wraps and leave out in the heat for a few days which will cause the the lid form itself back into its proper shape.

I just wanted something small for clones, and this looked like it was perfect. I noticed that it was staying very humid inside, there was very little condensation on the clear lid. After looking at it from the side, you can see that either the lid or the bottom part is warped or "bowed". I think its the lid. I give it 2 stars because I still use it, just had to "doctor" it a little. Pros: -Well built, good material -Vents on top are nice -Lid is high enough for 3"-4" clones in rooting blocks Cons: -Doesn't hold humidity well -Lid "seats" loosely ... show more

After reading reviews, I was very uncertain about purchasing this vented propagator. Many reviews showed images of warped height extensions making the product useless, and I already had two seed starters from big box stores that were less sturdy than takeout food boxes. I wanted a propagator that I could use many many times, not one that crushed when I picked it up. The propagator I received is in great shape. The materials are sturdy, and easy to assemble, and the pieces fit together harmoniously. It appears that the manufacturer has fixed the warping issue, and this is a very sound little propagator. Propagator LOL ...not hardly it does not even get warm enough to steam up on the inside. It lacks a good seal to produce warmth and humidity . Im so angry I waisted the money on this thing not happy p___ed off actually . It did come with the same warp i read about in reviews that made the lid fit not quite right. Even so the mis-match was slight and in my opinion wouldn't affect the functionality, however once placed in the sun the base became ever so slightly more pliable and the lid has fit securely ever since with no movement. Condensation drips back into tray perfectly. A single misting of the jiffy pots to wet the soul all the way through and this kept the moisture inside for over a week before I removed the lid to let things dry out a bit. ... show more

This propagator is pretty useful in various functions. One can start seedlings in it or use it for transplants and also use it for cloning experiments of various plants. The fact one can adjust the height with the add on walls and also adjust the ventilation with it's air intake wheels adds further to it's usefulness. One other big strong point for this piece of gardening equipment is that it doesn't come with holes at the bottom of tray. One can make holes for the bottom of tray but it gives the option of keeping it sealed. ... show more

This is a great product for the price. I got this to start a few seeds for my flower garden and then use it to grow wheatgrass for my cats. I understand where the negative complaints are coming from: The plastic screws can be a little difficult, because they give you a plastic screwdriver for the part you can already grasp with your fingers, but leave you flailing to fumble with the tiny nut on the other side that doesn't have a normal tool configuration. Setting it up initially can be frustrating without an additional pair of hands to help. I personally alternated the direction of the screws on each corner to help adjust for a tighter fit. Once you get the pieces together loosely, you place it on top of the bottom and adjust to fit, and then place the solid top on, then tighten the screws on the corners. Also, don't forget these pieces have a lip to inter-connect, the lip needs to be all on the same side of the pieces you screw together the lip goes inside the bottom layer, put it together wrong, you get a bad fit. All-in-all, other than the minor annoyances, it turned out to be a great product. ... show more
