Description

Jalapeno peppers are the hero of salsa and many dishes. They are a staple in salsa gardens. The Scoville unit for jalapeno peppers is 3,500-8,000. Jalapeno seeds for planting do best when started indoors about 8-10 weeks before the last frost. Pepper plants take a long time to germinate, sometimes up to 2 weeks. When you start indoors before your growing season, you can place them outside when any danger of frost is past. We take pride in our jalapeno seeds and all of the seeds we carry. All of our seeds come from trusted sources in the USA. Our seeds are packaged by our small family operation ourselves, here in the USA. Take note that the seeds are heirloom, open-pollinated and non-gmo seed with a high germination rate. Jalapeno pepper plants are easy to care for and grow. • Germination
100% germination rate. So far so good.

  • Unheard of germination rates…
As you normally do, I planted several seeds together and in separate containers to achieve hopes of a mediocre germination rate, weeding out the less strong seedlings. However, every single one of these seeds I planted germinated and is of strong stock. I am very impressed with how well these plants have taken off. I have a single plant for my hydroponic system (in the photo) but I transplanted one into soil after it sprouted and is also doing well. I gave the soil plant to my daughter. All the other seeds that germinated I had to cull. The plant in the picture is about 45 days old. It sprouted on June 3, 2022 and the picture was taken July 16, 2022. I obviously haven’t produced peppers yet but looking at the growth of the plant and the size of those leaves, I’m expecting a great healthy harvest. I’ll update after the plant produces. I highly recommend these seeds ... show more

  • They are seeds...
They are seeds! I had zero issues with germination and they grew really nice size plants.

  • Mediocre germination
I planted nearly a flat of these guys, and many either never emerged or took nearly 6 weeks, by which time I had dumped their pots. I guess it's just what you deal with in peppers. Often slow.

  • Good Quality Seeds
The media could not be loaded. I’m new at gardening so this has helped me in the process to figure out how to grow things!

  • Growth got stunted
Not sure why, but after germination the seedlings failed to mature. Not blaming the quality of the seeds could be environmentally related.

  • Great Germination
Great Germination and very strong plants. Hopefully this year I get Jalepeños I stead of Banana peppers. Take 10+ days to germinate without heat mat in garage at 66° under grow lights.

  • Tastless
Grow ok, but zero Scoville. With your eyes closed you'd not know they were jalapenos
