    • Definitely functional, but slightly too small and weak wood
The coop arrived in a timely manner and I was able to put it together rather quickly despite somewhat poor instructions and some of the holes being pre-drilled in the wrong location. The wood breaks and dents rather easily...not great for predator territory. When our hens (Rhode Island Reds) go into the nesting boxes, they don't quite fit and often end up with their chests or bottoms sticking out into the perch area - which means we get eggs in there instead of the nesting boxes. This was so easy to put together. Had holes pre drilled and pegs to help you see where to connect the pieces. It is sturdy and fit our small flock just right.

This chicken co-op is the worst. If I had known how small it was I never would have considered it. It is very deceiving and uncomfortable for one chicken let alone her and her peeps. I have to shut her in it to keep the chicks from falling out and now I'm afraid they're going to suffocate since it's so hot out. It should at least have some kind of a screen so they can breathe and get some air. Whoever designed this did not have chickens. It was poorly designed And very easy for raccoons or other predators to break into. It looks a lot bigger than it is. I had to put it inside my fence run because it just wasn't safe with predators.     • Be careful how many chickens you get
This small coop is maybe good for Bantam chickens since they don’t get big. But maybe 4 at the most. It’s not suited for more than two regular size chickens, it is toooo small for more than that. I bought it for my 2 roosters to get them away from my 3 hens. And there is no where’s to run when one starts picking on the other. I had to buy a big chicken coop from tractor supply for my hens. These chicken coops on here are cheaply made and over priced! It’s ok for temporarily. I normally don’t rate anything on here unless it’s really good or very bad! ... show more

There was several bad spots where the wood was crack. Them putting the ramp the wood split. The roof didn’t line up right had to force it. One of the small board was loose and the tray doesn’t fix right one end drops. I didn’t get it together however I will need to do some spot wood work.
