  • This is insane
Size: Large
I'm a stomach sleeper, and I have some chronic shoulder/arm tendon issues, because I end up with my arm stretched out under my head and pillow. No matter what I did, this issue was just getting worse over time. What I didn't realize was how much this was also affecting my sleep quality. The first night with this pillow, I had the best sleep I can recall. I didn't wake up at all, until morning when I woke up in the same position I fell asleep in. I thought I was imagining it, but my arms felt better too. Now, after a couple weeks, my arms are both far better. I also realized that it's helping with my mild sleep apnea. Every day I would get tired mid day, and need a nap. I haven't needed a nap once since I bought the pillow. CPAP was out - there's no way I can sleep with the mask on, which was fortunate considering the machine I used is recalled due to risk of causing lung cancer (a whole other story). Stomach sleepers can absolutely use this pillow, but the body pillow also helps me get into a comfortable side-sleeping position. One note is you need to position yourself high enough up on the pillow where your arm easily comes straight down into the channel, while also not increasing strain on your back. This is individual to the user. In all, I thought the price was expensive for some foam, but it's a small price to pay for the relief it has brought me. ... show more

  • Poorly designed, but I made it work
Size: Large
I have now had the large (orange stripe) pillow for a month. After a couple weeks I was ready to return the thing. If used as directed, it will create horrible pain at the shoulder, numbing your entire arm. Look at the ad photos. Under the pillow is where your shoulder should be. But most of us have a head that is a total of roughly 10"above the shoulder line. If you try to duplicate those images in the ad, you find yourself with your armpit right at the 90 degree dropoff into the hole. Put your arm out thru the lower so, and within a half hour your arm will be totally numb, your shoulder screaming in pain. As if you were hanging on a trapeze by your armpit. I tried angling the wedge upwards, downwards, whatever. Nothing worked. And that filler pillow pushes your arm and shoulder right to the edge of the hole. I bought vacuum plastic packaging (in order to return it, you have to suck all the air out of the pieces, otherwise they will not fit in the box they came in, as they were vacuum packed when shipped). Like Insaid, ready to return it. Then I thought about the design. What is wrong. Well, the hole is within two inches of the top of the wedge, so if you put this at the head of your bed, there is no natural head-shoulder alignment when sleeping on your side. So I took out the filler bean shaped pillow, put it above the left area of the wedge. Then took the body pillow and wrapped it across the area above the wedge then down the right side, outside of the wedge. Now the hole area is about 12" down from the top of the bed. I used a pillow which I placed on top of the body pillow on the right side, so that it was above the level of the wedge, for hugging. I used another pillow for between my knees. I had a small pillow...half the size of the bean center hole stuffer pillow, and put that in the right side of the hole. Across the top edge of the hole, and lying over the top of the body pillow, is my regular (king sized) pillow for my head. Now when I get into bed, my butt is at the bottom third of the wedge, my shoulder has plenty of room to fall into the hole, and allow my arm to go out under the wedge, and my head is on my pillow, which I pull down to cover a few inches of the hole. There is no stress on my armpit, no cutting off my blood circulation. The wedge is very comfortable and is of good firm material. I would recommend a complete redesign of the product with the opening for the shoulder a good ten to twelve inches down from the top edge, and the wedge should flatten out after the hole (otherwise your head is pushed upwards uncomfortably). The body noodle requires a pillow cover for me....the fuzzy velour type covering is just too hot. It actually requires two standard size body pillow covers because it is very long. ... show more

  • Helps reduce snoring and sleep apnea.
Size: Small
I suffer from mild sleep apnea that's not bad enough for insurance to cover treatment. (I have 4.8 episodes an hour, but 5 is required for a diagnosis!) Out of desperation, I've bought nearly every over-the-counter product that claims to help with snoring and/or sleep apnea. None of them really provide any relief. Until I found this pillow. It took me 3-4 days to get used to it (I'm a side sleeper to begin with), but once I did, I noticed a major improvement in my sleep and especially my energy throughout the day! No more zombie days! And I can tell that I'm not having nearly as many sleep apnea episodes! Back sleepers might need more time to adapt. My one complaint is that the pillows do get pretty hot, because they are made of foam. Not sure what to do about that, but I mention it. Maybe better cooling cases would help? Separately, yes, if you want to turn over in your sleep, you do wake a little because you have to extract your arm and adjust the tube, but it's still an improvement, and I find that I need to turn over less anyway, because of the support. My arms don't fall asleep or get sore, so I sleep pretty well for several hours on each side. Overall, I've gone from 4 hours of sleep a night to 7! Woohoo! Tips: 1. Make sure you buy the right size for your height. 2. Experiment with positioning the different pillows to keep your head elevated, without straining your neck. 3. Experiment with positioning your arm. 4. Keep a fan nearby if you sleep hot. Good luck! ... show more

This pillow really is all it is advertised to be. If you’re not sure if it’s worth the price, I assure you, IT IS!

  • May be great for some, it just isn't for me (unless I can find a hybrid that can help.)
Size: Medium System w/Extra Cases
I need for a wedge that helps with shoulder pain, as well as allows for prone sleeping. I have issues with both shoulders, one was basically rebuilt (of course on my primary sleeping side). I was hoping this wedge would allow me to start sleeping on this side again. Unfortunately it doesn't do that for me. So, I thought, since I can't sleep on either side or back, how about prone. This pillow mostly fits the needs, but the hole is way too large and the insert pillow just doesn't fit the bill. Unfortunately I've wasted a LOT of money for something that just isn't working for me. I bought this about 10 months ago, so nobody can claim I did not give it a try. I retired it yesterday. ... show more
