I studied dozens of toasters before making this purchase - this one had the features I was looking for, a small enough footprint and an easy to clean finish and crumb tray. It performs Exactly as promised!! I'm totally delighted with it. It's well crafted and a great value. I especially love the built-in warming rack and the controls. I can feel the dial click even if I can't hear it. The finish is brushed so it looks much neater. The crumb tray pops out easily and it's not a hassle sliding it back in. Highlights: built-in warming rack cool touch exterior dial "clicks" buttons light up buttons have words not pictures large timer Wish It Had: peek to view lift bagel image on top cover included I did buy a silicone cover for it here on Amazon and it works very well covering the slots. It wasn't expensive. This is definitely 5 Stars. It's heavy weight, very nicely crafted. It feels like it might last me the rest of my life. It does everything I need it to do and it does it just right. There are a couple of "extra" things I wish it could do in a perfect world. Nice looking toaster. Have not used it for toast yet. Just wanted to say that, IMHO, a design flaw is the cord which should be in the back of the toaster not front. Being in the front it limits placement. Should not have to tell you guys, but, do not put it under or near any overhead cabinets.

We've had this toaster a few weeks and like the performance and the looks. The sleek, dark gray (almost black) exterior fits right in with the granite counter and backsplash in our modern kitchen. Most alternatives have a stainless steel exterior but with our black counter, accents and appliances this was a better match. The rose gold trim picked up the color of our backsplash and with the lighted controls adds to the contemporary look. This was one of the few long slot toasters with the controls on the end, perfect for the way we wanted to place it on the counter. The long slots are great for baguettes, long bread slices or multiple smaller slices, rolls or bagels. The bagel setting does the inner sides only and I've used the 30 second reheat for some toast done early and in need of a quick warm up. Love the count down timer that starts out as the darkness setting indicator then switches to letting you know the time remaining. I've gotten my preferred medium well done toast using the 4 or 5 setting. Toasting results have been pretty even for me with the bread centered or placed at either end of the slot. I haven't had any bread or bagels taller than the toaster slots like some other reviews. A close look revels a mostly plastic exterior and I'm gentle with the lever after reading some users have had that come loose. For $45 this is a good value with a sharp look that's different from most other long slot toasters. ... show more
