  • Great value!
Size: Large Color: Black
Picked these up on sale for almost half off. Genuine Mechanix M-Pact gloves that are quality and true to size. I used to only buy xl in all my gloves since I have large hands but noticed that Mechanix in xl just slightly extended at my tips, going with large is a perfect glove fit that does not obstruct trigger function and other more precise finger operation. If you usually get xl and notice that there are times you need to push your fingers in more even just slightly to get a tighter formed fit, try going with large. Perfect glove fit for me. ... show more

  • Cool factor 100% and reasonably protective
Size: Medium Color: Camouflage - Multicam
I bought these for my carpentry job and to work on my car. After only a couple week of usual use the pinky and ring finger started to unravel for me. However other than that these things have saved my hands from some pretty major impacts and If you are a car guy you know how scary it is to break a bolt tangled up under the car and smash your hand, these have given me a lot of added security and confidence ... show more

  • Not indestructible, but also not unacceptable
Size: Small Color: Camouflage - Multicam
I’ve had these gloves for almost two years and have used them almost daily. Overall, I like them, but I understand there are things that they do not do well, such as: — The touch screen ability is negligible. Trying to use my phone with the gloves on was always difficult enough to be worth the time to take my gloves off to use my phone. — They are terrible if they get wet at all. They do provide some protection against the cold, but close to around freezing temperature, they will not provide sufficient thermal insulation, and lose all insulation the second they get wet at all. — The fingers have a tendency to tear through the stitching. I used these gloves for less than a year before one of the thumbs got a hole, and another index finger hole soon followed. I ended up chopping off all the fingers to turn them into fingerless gloves, which had their own advantages, but the durability here is something to be desired. On the other hand, here are the things I liked about the gloves: — The impact resistance was something I thought was uncomfortable at first, but after my gloves broke in a little bit (sometimes literally hahaha), I didn’t mind them as much. While it wasn’t something I thought I super needed at first, the impact resistance turned out to be one of my favorite things about these gloves. I like never worrying about my knuckles at work, carrying things through doorways. I can just throw my hands against doorframes with reckless abandon. It’s terrific. If you get the correct size, the hook-and-loop strap really ensures a good, consistent fit. I find it difficult to wear regular off-the-shelf gloves for yard work now, they feel so ill-fitting. Overall, I like these gloves, I would buy them again, and I would recommend them to a friend, but you should understand what their limitations are, and if you need something else, you should absolutely find different gloves to suit your needs. Update 8/22: I just bought a new pair. I used the first pair for almost two years, and the fingers were in bad enough shape a year and a half in that I turned them into fingerless gloves. I decided it was finally time to retire then after nearing the two-year mark when the hook-and-loop strap was losing its ability to stay closed. I bought another pair in coyote this time, and thought it was worth mentioning that the color hardly matches “coyote brown” at all, it is much closer to something like ranger green. Not a problem for me, in fact it’s just what I wanted, but for those of you wanting to match your gear, hopefully that’ll help you out. ... show more

  • Best Work Gloves Ever!
Size: Medium Color: Brown
[...] Toughness: 9/10 Fingers! These gloves can take a lot of abuse. I’ve had one of the original pairs for over 2 years. I recently had to finally replace them, and that’s only because I lost them. It was a sad day for sure. I’m in the military and specifically a support unit, so gloves are critical to everything I do there. These took all the abuse of fixing motors, spilt fluids, handling rough surfaces, throwing weapons, around, etc. The only reason they don’t get a 10 is that the velcro on the wrist strap started to separate from the strap after about a year of use. Super glue fixed it, but it’s an imperfection and I want to be honest. Weight: 10/10 Fingers! These things only way 5.6 ounces. That’s barely a third of a pound. When you wear them they almost feel like nothing is there, which is exactly what you want with a pair of gloves, and for those who have to haul a lot of gear around, they essentially add nothing to your load out. Warmth: 5/10 Fingers This is the only true problem I’ve found with these gloves but that doesn’t stop them from being the best work gloves around. They do stop biting wind and provide some basic warmth, but they aren’t cold weather gloves. Which during the summer is a great advantage to them. But during the winter you need a little something more. I use these Under Armour Liners with mine and they become super toasty. Another advantage to using those liners is that they keep the tactile feedback strong and don’t add a lot of weight. But they will work with standard issue Army wool glove liners too. Looks: 10/10 Fingers! As stated, I’m in the military and need a pair of gloves that work with the uniform, and these fit the bill perfectly, but they do come in black and other standard colors so you don’t have to go super tactical with them if that’s not your thing. Another reason I think these are the best work gloves in the looks department is that they don’t have the hard knuckle cover a lot of “tacticool” gloves do. I’ve worn those style of gloves before and hate them. They just never fit right and sometimes when wearing them I feel like I’m trying to hard to look like I’m in the special forces. These gloves give you the protection of the hard knuckles with a soft rubber protector but don’t sacrifice the look or feel that those hard knuckle gloves do. Tactile Feedback: 8/10 Fingers! This one is hard to grade, because in the end all gloves take away some of the natural feeling of your hands. Part of that is sizing, and if you get the right size on these gloves they will fit your hand and give you pretty much full function of the fingers. The biggest drawback though is that these are not touchscreen compatible and in the world we live in today that is a crucial feature for a lot of people. Miscellaneous: 9/10 Fingers! These gloves have several extra features that help make them pretty nice. The palm is padded with a thin but soft layer of foam, and cut from some pretty tough leather. The top is a thick mesh that provides both protections and breathability. There’s a pad on the inside of the pointer finger that prevents common blisters. As mentioned before it uses a thick rubber “pad” over the knuckles to provide protection, and it’s cut in just the right places to provide maximum flexibility. The wrist strap is made from the same rubber and is not coming off the glove. However, the velcro which is sewn to the rubber did come off on my last pair after about a year of use. Another negative is that while they provide some basic protection when wet, you don’t want to let these get soaked. If you do make sure to let them air dry as soon as possible and you’ll be alright. Otherwise the gloves will begin to wear out at an accelerated pace. Price: 10/10 Fingers! Relative to other similar types of gloves, these are dirt cheap. Similar gloves from Oakley can cost around $80. These are normally around $25 meaning you’re saving nearly 70% when you buy these gloves. Which also means you an afford to grab more than one pair and keep a set in the toolbox as well as with your shooting kit. OVERALL SCORE: 8.7/10 Fingers! Now I hear what you’re saying. If it’s 8.7 out of 10, how can they be the best work gloves ever? Well first, anything can improve, and second very rarely do you find the absolute perfect product. Compromises often have to made in the name of price, design, engineering limitations, etc. In my humble opinion these gloves find the perfect balance between all of those factors, and really only fall short in a couple minor aspects that can be remedied fairly quickly. ... show more

  • Really thick
Size: X-Large Color: Brown
I bought a pair of these looking for a new pair of shooting gloves. They are well made and so far have been pretty tough. But they are really thick. You definitely won’t have much dexterity at all while wearing them. I didn’t think they were going to be as “heavy” as they are. There almost the same thickness as gloves for handling things that are hot. I also personally don’t like how the topside has “mechanix” 50 times all over, kinda cringe in my opinion. But I have them as a backup or if I need them for some yard work or something. Can’t complain, they’re well made, durable and work really well they’re just not what I was looking for ... show more

  • Decent gloves for the price
Size: Medium Color: Black
Used for airsoft, seem to hold up decent enough but noticed some fraying around the fingertips after washing once.
