The media could not be loaded. I often make homemade bread and meats and was looking for a better way to slice them than my manual method, which resulted in inconsistent cuts. After much research, I decided to try using MIDONE. It performs excellently in slicing meats, breads, cheeses, and vegetables. The blade speed is not as fast as a professional slicer, but it is sufficient for my home use needs. One of my favorite dishes to make is Chicago Italian beef sandwiches, but even when the meat is cold, I couldn't slice it very thin. When I put it through the slicer, the slices were perfect with very little waste. My only dislike is that it's a bit of a hassle to clean. Removing the blade is easy, but cleaning it is not so easy because the blade has a lot of grease on it. I contacted their customer service, and they gave me some suggestions for two different types of blades, which I found helpful. I can share them with you. *Hand wash and dry the blade immediately after each use, particularly if it has come into contact with acidic foods like citrus fruits or tomatoes. This will help to prevent any moisture or acidic residue from remaining on the blade and causing corrosion. *Store your knife in a dry place, away from moisture and humidity. Avoid storing it in a damp sink or dish rack, and instead keep it in a knife block or on a magnetic knife strip. *Avoid leaving your knife in water or soaking it for extended periods of time. This can cause the blade to rust or corrode. *Regularly oil your blade with food-grade oil or mineral oil to help prevent rust and protect the metal. Simply wipe a small amount of oil onto the blade and use a clean cloth to buff it in. *If you notice any rust or discoloration on your blade, use a mixture of baking soda and water to gently scrub the affected area. Rinse the blade thoroughly and dry it completely before storing it. I've used it over a dozen times, and it has performed excellently every time. It meets all my needs. ... show more

Good slicer for the price. Takes a little to get the hang of it to cut really thin. Don’t use too much pressure or thickness adjustment will move. Would give 5 stars if adjuster didn’t move as easily

The media could not be loaded. 2nd Update: found that the instructions were just not clear. This blade does have a way to lock in place. Had not seen the arrow on the locking mechanism on the blade before. If the center is turned to tightly engage after the blade is put on the machine it worked so much better. It is just extremely important to ensure that the blade actually is locked in. Would be good if the instructions included a picture of how to lock the blade into place. Otherwise this has worked out well and even sliced the frozen sausage. Update: oh my sweet goodness…. twice in just a minute the blade has just fell off this machine. Luckily it is not flying. Has anyone else had this problem with this machine. The 1st time it did this I went and made sure that I had locked it in place. I just got this thing on Saturday so it is brand new. I bought this to cut sausage. I froze it thinking it might make it easier to slice because of the consistency of sausage. I was amble to cut up one pound but I was scared as everytime I was pushing the sausage for the slice the blade actually looked like it was trying to lift. The center where the blade is held on is only plastic and I was afraid that blade was going to come off and slice me. I am going to try again today without freezing the sausage to see if that works better but if it continues to lift I may be returning this item. ... show more

This is the third home slicer I've used. This one is fantastic, slices with easy, frozen or raw meat. Comes with slicing blade and a serrated blade. It's easy to clean and very lightweight. I highly recommend this slicer!

The machine itself was what I expected but I left it in the box top long and now realize it's missing the extra smooth blade & a booklet. I'm very disappointed but it's too late to send it back.
