Bought this in 2021 and it still works great. Slices thick or razor thin meat, cheese, etc. We can buy a turkey breast roast and save over $6 per pound on deli meat alone. Definitely worth it!

This does the job it was made for and with the reviews I made the purchase... It does not feel like high quality and is light, which I guess why its intended for home use. It had issue cutting a stick salomi right out of the box, cuts bread well though. Have not tried any meats per say yet as we buy our lunch meat from the deli sliced... the thickness options are odd in that the lowest smallest slice is so thin cant think of a purpose and the largest lice is not all that large. Overal satisfied with its function....might spend more if there was more intended use. ... show more

It's just ok. We had a. Better one that was much easier till it broke. This one does get the job done. But it take two people to work it. One to work it and one to hold it. It just never gets the meat sliced thin enough without shedding it. This one does not come apart to clean so it .makes it a bit hard to clean up. So basically nothing is easy on this machine. I guess u get what u pay for. We picked it up really cheap. Do ur homework. It does work so if u don't mind having help working it and don't use it much it would probably be a great machine for you. ... show more

    • My Experience with unit and customer service
I bought this slicer in early August. Worked great and looked really nice!!! Then in October after using it about a dozen times I saw smoke coming from inside the unit. Unplugged it and and it resolved. The next time I used it after about 2 minutes I smelled what seemed to be something electrical burning and the plastic over the motor was too hot to touch. I reached out to customer service and they got back to me right away to gather more information on what was happening. Of course it was well outside the 30 day return window so I did not have a lot of hope of any positive resolution. I was SHOCKED at what transpired with this company. As I stated they got back to me quickly to gather more information. They assigned a case manager (Mine was Debra). And that is the person that deals with the entire issue. No talking to a new person every time!!! (LOVE THAT). She emailed me a PRE PAID return label, I sent the unit back and the return was "approved" (not sure what that means lol). But UPS right now has a new unit in their possession that is expected to be delivered to me on Monday!! I can't tell you how pleasantly surprised I am with the follow through from this company and Debra specifically. KUDO's to them and HER!!!!!!!!!! I have already bookmarked their site for any future kitchen needs. That's how impressed I am with their actions. Needless to say I would highly recommend them!!!! Thank you Chefman!!!! ... show more

This item was delivered yesterday and I was SUPER excited bc it was on sale for like $50. I don’t think I’d ever seen a deli slicer for so cheap and it looked like a decent product. I couldn’t wait to try it! I opened it up and thought it was weird that there were some oily marks on it, but wasn’t sure if that was just the finish on the plastic. There was also a smell I couldn’t place. After a moment of fiddling around with it, though, I realized it was oily bc someone used it and returned it. The oily parts were from mayonnaise. Not sure who in their right mind needs to use a deli slicer for something with mayonnaise on it.🤨🤦🏻♀️ I was so thoroughly disgusted that I am returning it. I don’t even want a replacement bc I don’t know what I’m gonna get and I’m so grossed out that I’m over owning one. Not sure if they had broken it somehow as well bc there was a random piece of I-don’t-know-what sitting in the bag that covered the product. Otherwise, this looks like it has a sharp blade and would work well. The blade is easy to take off for cleaning, which I appreciate. Just beware if you purchase this to make sure it hasn’t already been used. If I want one in the future, I’ll purchase one from a store where hopefully I can confirm it hasn’t been used. I didn’t know how many stars to give this product bc I didn’t get to use it. I gave it only 1 bc it wouldn’t let me give it zero, and I don’t know that it’s worth giving it more atm tbh. ... show more

    • Great little machine for all your homemade jerky.
My last food slicer lasted well over 30 years. This one, hopefully, will last just as long. Easy to use, easy to adjust for just the right thickness of slices. Even with my meat mostly frozen, the slicer had no problem getting through the meat. If you're considering a meat slicer, this is one to look at. The only sticking point was the ease of cleaning. More of the machine should be easy to disassemble so the user can get every little bit of meat out of the housing. ... show more
