  • Great Product - Issue with staying on resolved
Product works great - I have purchased three of them and installed two so far. I thought I had an issue with the one in this photo installed in the garage as it was coming on at night and staying on all night. After some testing, it turns out when the camera's infrared lights came on at sundown, it triggered the motion sensor and kept the lights on. Sensitivity was set to 3. I set the sensitivity to 1 and will see if the lights still come on this evening. If it does, I will just turn off the infrared light on the camera - as any motion will turn a light on and allow the camera to see. I will continue buying this product any place I want lights to come on when entering a room. ... show more

  • Well-Performing Occupancy Sensor
During the ADA restroom upgrade at our church, I decided to add this occupancy sensor. We found it works quite well (turns the lights and vent fan ON just as you enter the doorway). The restroom is 12' x 8' with a low (7.5 foot) ceiling; the sensor is located near the center of the ceiling. Even with the low ceiling, the sensor still has plenty of range to monitor the doorway and the entire restroom. It has three adjustments (TIME, SENSE, LIGHT). The time and sensitivity adjustments work well. Our restroom does not have any natural light, so we cannot comment on the 'light' adjustment. However, for applications with plenty of light from windows, this knob would be useful to set the dusk/dawn light level at which the room lights function (rather than turning lights on when not needed). Wiring was simple. Instructions are adequate and written well enough for the DIYer to get the job done. The product performs quite well at this price point... One minor improvement: I would suggest increasing the hole spacing in the mounting ring... It is presently a bit shy of the 3.5" spacing between the 8-32 screws in a typical octagon electrical box. I had to tweak the holes in the plastic to ease mounting. BTW, the provided flathead screws are needed to attach the mounting ring to an electrical box, or mounting surface. Otherwise, (with round head screws) the sensor will not have enough clearance to twist-lock into the mounting ring. ... show more

  • Works great!!!
I installed this in my garage so when I go into the garage it gives plenty of light. Easy setup and works great. About 12 feet away from either of the 3 entry doors.

  • Ceiling motion sensor
I knocked it down a star because it's supposed to max out at 30 minutes and would stay on longer. I found also that in a office with drop ceiling tiles, opening the door may cause a pressure change lifting the tiles enough for it to sense "motion".

  • Not what I thought
I ordered the first and didn't work, and I ordered a second one and it did the same thing. It would work on test Mode but the minute I set it to a 10 min time delays it wouldn't work and stay on all night. I don't like this product, I had to order a lutron from homedepot and works better.

  • Worked great for a while
I added an LED light to my garage and this 360 degree PIR sensor to turn it on automatically. It worked great for six months and now it stays on all the time. I installed one of these in my previous house a few years back and the same thing happened there after a couple of years so I bought a second and it worked until we moved. Why would these fail so quickly? ... show more

  • Detects air moving or otherwise detects ghosts - turns on in the middle of the night w/ no motion
Detects air moving or otherwise detects ghosts - turns on in the middle of the night w/ no motion This is even with adjusting the sensitivity. But otherwise the small defects it works pretty good. Had to buy this more expensive one because another didnt work. Not worth $28 in my opinion but the was tired of wasting money on the install of the cheaper one ... show more

  • Good looking but has some sensitivity issues.
I like the appearance after installation on a public restroom ceiling but have found that the sensitivity adjustment is not very linear and is either too sensitive or not enough. It senses too well though as even a flash of light in the room will start it. Like a car headlight hitting the no see through windows in the dark restroom room turns it on. I have attempted to mask the sensor lens to overcome some of these false triggers but am still working on getting it to a dependable state. Also is very sensitive to heat or cold registers entering the room. It is a high bay sensor as advertised and requires a fairly high ceiling to work property. ... show more
