This cookbook is most definitely the best cookbook/technique book I have ever had the pleasure of using. I bought it as a Valentine's day gift to my husband who also enjoys cooking. We have had a ball in the kitchen learning how to make fluffy omelettes, silky sauces and succulent meat dishes. I am amazed at how a minimal amount of effort, some time and some attention to technique and detail can produce such delicious food. I have taken inexpensive cuts of beef, pork and chicken and turned them into culinary delights. My husband and I are not novice cooks however, I cannot take any real credit for these amazing results aside from having the good sense to purchase this book and follow the directions. I bought 2 of the paperback books, one for me and one for a gift. I was NOT expecting it to be so small and crowded. It doesnt have colored pictures, just drawings. The description of the book was not clear enough. I am very disappointed because I have bought several cookbooks and they were all better quality. ... show more
