This is the smallest machine I've ever held. I don't particularly like the size of this. It was to small for my liking. The power isn't amazing either. The pen cartridges don't come out clean and the stencils don't transfer well. This is good for practice at most.

I ordered this set for my wife who is learning to do permanent make-up (PMU).She was looking for a small pen because she tried out some other larger pens and felt that she couldn’t be as precise with them due to their weight and thickness. This one is about the size of a sharpie marker and she finds it very easy to hold. It’s also much more quiet than others that she’s tried out. It’s advertised as being portable, which it is, however there is no case to put everything in, so you’ll need to find your own. It also comes with multiple needles, some starter ink, some templates, and a sheet of practice skin. Not sure how well it would work on traditional tattoos, but seems to work well for what my wife is using it for. ... show more

I was shocked at how lightweight this was. It is also very small in comparison to other machines which takes a little getting used to. I think it would be good to consider this if you have smaller hands or are having issues with hand and wrist strain from a heavier machine and lots of hours. I definitely recommend trying this out to see if it works for you! ... show more

This is a very nice kit for doing Permanent Makeup (PMU). It's the "Tour Air", made by Mast. The kit comes with a very thin, almost writing-pen sized tattoo pen. It's very nicely made and finished, and has an adjustable stroke length. The pen does not have an integral battery, but rather it features an RCA jack on the top, which can accommodate either a clip cord, or a battery. There is a battery included. Of course either one has it's advantages, and disadvantages. With the clip cord you are limited by the cord, and many find the cord an encumbrance. With the battery your work time is limited, and (as in this case) using the battery can change the balance point of the tattoo pen. It doesn't have a dramatic impact here, but if you work all day with one machine you may feel it. The pen/battery has a truly impressive range of 5.0v all the way to 12v, a wider range than most PMU pens. It's very quiet, and very smooth. In fact, up until you hit about 10.5v you can barely hear the pen. Pleasant to work with. The battery has three button operation ("on/off", "+", and "-"), and is simple to operate. It's got an excellent, easy to read digital LED readout that also shows battery charge level. These are at the top of the battery pack, and thus easy to read while working, at a glance. Also included in this kit: A set of 20 super-fine round liners (0401RL), which are well made, a set of ink caps that are (in my opinion) too large for PMU work, a set of black latex exam gloves, a single roll of narrow grip tape, a single sheet of practice skin, and a single sheet of design transfer paper. This came with so much stuff including some fun extras! It is the smallest "pen" I won. It being this thin makes it a bit difficult at times to hold comfrotable for myself. Its nice quality, easy to use and I definitely am only keeping it for practice purposes. I like the pen cartridges it came with and the swatches of fake skin are nice. ... show more

I've been evaluating a number of machines and kits, and I'm noticing a trend with Mast... I like every one I get into my hand. Just like the other Mast machines I've tried, I love everything about this. The kit is also pretty inclusive with what's included to allow you to get some practice in.
