Like a few other people when I received the E 16 balance bike it would not turn on or do anything. I tried to return the bike but it was not eligible for return until you contacted the seller through amazon. I narrowed it down to the battery was bad . Massimo customer service sent me a reply back the next day and I told them I just needed a new battery and they said they would send one out. Two days later not only did they send me a battery but a new control box , 6 T shirts , a hat , keychain and some other stuff. I was vey surprised at how fast thy were and I was not expecting all the other stuff they sent. Its a nice bike and my son loves it. I would recommend getting this bike to anyone . ... show more

We just opened this Christmas present for our son to put together. And we’re completely surprised to find out the bike doesn’t even work!!!!! Absolutely terrible and now we have to explain to ours on his Christmas present doesn’t work.

I ordered this for my little boy last week. Today I decided to put it together and tried to charge it. It doesn't do anything when you turn the throttle. Charger just stays green the whole time. Doesn't change whether plugged in or not. No idea if it's even charged. Such a disaster for Christmas. This was suppose to be my little boys Christmas present and now he's gonna get an electric piece of junk bike that doesn't even work. I'll see if they respond, but until then, I would stay away from this junk. Update - I just put the front wheel on and the forks are so bent that the tire rubs on them. I also took the battery compartment apart and there was a disconnected wire in there. The charger now responds when you plug it in. However, after charging it for an hour, it still doesn't work at all. Definitely a piece of junk. Find somewhere local to buy one so you don't have the nightmare I'm having with this. Worst part is that this is my boy's Christmas present. Update - they sent a new one right away. Good product so far. I'll give it 5 stars after it lasts a little longer. Spend countless days trying to decide what I wanted for my little girl. She road the strider balance bike for over 100 rides. As you can tell in the photo she needed something bigger. She's 5 yrs old almost 6 at 47 inches, and the electric 16" balance bike is the perfect size when dropping the seat all the way down. She's afraid of using the electric motor, but I'm sure she'll get there sooner or later. This bike is very heavy duty that an adult can even ride it and it'll still go roughly 12-15 mpr. I plan to modifying the seat and command post, upgrading the fork with a 20" front suspension fork, handle bar and stem. Cons -The brake lever really sucks. Even after adjustment the lever is really tight. -Rear disk brakes was slightly bent. Used a Cresent wrench to bend it to straighten it out. - Very pricey for what you're getting. Stopped working after less than a year. Well-kept in a garage, never left in the weather. No product support or replacement options. The five star reviews are likely left right after purchase. I would have done the same too. Worked great until it didn’t. Bought two and same situation with both.

I ordered two of these originally. One for my son and another for my daughter for Christmas. Upon the initial assembly a few days before I found out that one was a defect right out of the box.. it would not run , it would power on but nothing when you hit the throttle. that one got sent back for a refund. My daughter has been riding the bike a good bit and enjoying it for a little over a month now until yesterday when the front wheel just refused to turn.. the bearings obviously seized after 1.5 months of use! Hence the 3 star rating I gave it! ... show more
