My rating of four stars is that I expected this product to be thicker as I have two dogs and 2 cats; two of whom like to scratch in 1) one who likes whorl as if he is digging to make a bed & one who scratches to sharpen her nails on just about anything without supervision. I really like this color cover. Often, you can only find them in traditional neutral colors. My once gorgeous couch is absolutely filthy from my dog (stealing spinach applesauce squeeze packs and eating them on the couch. Lol.) I bought a very colorful boho patterned slipcover, but love it so much, I don't want to get it dirty too! So I got this cover. It matches perfectly, stays in place, is reversible and waterproof!!     • Did not hold up well
We donโ€™t have a large dog, just an old cat, so the product was not subjected to very much abuse. Owned it less than a month and the elastic strap that circles around the back of the couch and holds it in place failed (the fabric hoop sewed to the cover failed). Even before that however, I did not like the fact that it was always shifting around and had to be readjusted if either the cat or myself sat on the couch. Thirdly, this thing was like a pet hair magnet (actually develops a static charge). Vacuuming it thoroughly was a challenge and it would be too inconvenient to wash every week. Besides, I doubt if it could hold up to regular laundering. I bought a dark color. I would suggest that if you donโ€™t want the pet hair to show, you should buy a light color. ... show more
