It can be used for cutting a variety of things where you need a clean straight edge. . I even used it to cut off some shoe strings that were too long. It makes a nice clean cut and is easier than using scissors. It serves as a great tool for DIY and crafting as long as the material is not too hard and will fit under the blade. I’ve installed many floors over the years, but always used a chop saw for cutting…until now! Saw this on Instagram and immediately ordered it for an upcoming project. Works great, quick easy, clean cuts. Doesn’t take much force to complete the cut. Sometimes hard to determine where to line up the blade to cut, if your cut has to be very precise. Bought this to do a 600 sq ft rec room in vinyl tile. It's a lifesaver vs scoring and cutting. Had no issues with it over the entire room and didn't have to sharpen in. Probably should have rented it, but still a LOT cheaper than paying someone else to do it.

This cutter makes surprisingly clean cuts in 7mm vinyl planks. This saves time over using a saw. These planks were much too strong to score and break. I wish the cutting arm was longer to give more leverage. You need to muscle cut, so I added a longer pipe over the arm.

This is the exact device I needed to lay my LVP. It’s so easy to put together and to use. The cuts are clean and straight. I love that it also does 45 degree angle cuts with ease by moving a single strip on the base.
