  • Good documentation, sturdy product
This is the second one I’ve purchased, good price, easy install

  • Easy install, peace of mind
Installed this on a 110 v ductless mini split. Installs to the shut off. Follow wiring instructions for 110. The two black wires connect to the black wire and green to the ground. Not sure if it will work or not but mini splits are very sensitive to surges. Also have a whole house surge protector on the breaker box. Both are only good for one surge and the green lights are still on. Not sure if it will help but haven't had any problems with the whole house surge protector intalled in over 4 years, and with so many expensive appliances with computer chip boards, this is no brainer. ... show more

  • Easy install
How do you review a surge protector until you get that potentially devastating spike? Installed without a hitch and protecting a mini split I also bought through Amazon. We’ll see. Price was right, and I installed into my system on the pull fuse. I made pigtails which from my research seems to be the preferred standard. We’ll see. ... show more

  • Protects the furnace
The electronic, variable speed motors in modern furnaces can be $300-$800 to replace when the electronics get blown out. Bought this as a cost effective back up to the whole house surge protector. Would be easier install on 240v central air probably. On 120v load (furnace) they tell you to tie both hots together and then onto the hot side of the line. Leads are 10ga, so by the time you get two of them twisted together, you're not going to to get the 12 or 14ga line to hold in the wire nut. Make sure you're reasonably handy, or know someone who is to work around this. ... show more
