  • somewhat harsh as an exfoliator; I like it but it won't work for everyone
This is unusual for a clay mask. Like other clay masks, you apply to your face, allow to dry, and then wash away. But, this is also a (strong) exfoliator -- it has pumice particles in it. So when you wash this away, you are supposed to scrub at the same time. The idea is that the clay soaks up excess oil first, and then you get rid of dead skin cells. As it happens, I like to exfoliate and do so regularly. I am generally a fan of harsh exfoliators (guess I have built up a tolerance). But I think the pumice here, while super effective, is a bit stronger than even I am interested in. Don't get me wrong, I definitely think it's effective. My skin felt great after using this. But it is not an everyday product for me. The mask part was good. It was a bit difficult to spread evenly over the face (I guess I am used to mud masks, which tend to have a slightly different texture). But, it dried as expected and it didn't pull my skin super tight as some clay masks tend to do. I think it did a great job of soaking up excess oil, but it didn't dry out my skin. My pores were feeling and looking pretty good afterwards, as well. Here are the ingredients because, although you can see them in the product images, they are very hard to read. Water, Bentonite, Kaolin, Glycerin, Pumice, Butylene Glycol, Decyl Glucoside, Glyceral Stearate, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Witch Hazel Water, Bilberry Fruit Extract, Sugarcane Extract, Lemon Fruit Extract, Citrus Orange Fruit Extract, Sugar Maple Extract, Pomegranate Extract, Arnica Flower Extract, Crocus Chrysanthus Bulb Extract, Sunflower Seed Oil, Acacua Senegal Gum, Menthyl Lactate, Tocopherol, Retinyl Palmitate, Phenoxyethanol, Alcohol Denat, Caprylyl Glycol, Disodium EDTA. There is nothing that particularly stands out about the ingredients to me, other than the pumice I've already mentioned. This does have a small amount of alcohol in it, but it is so low it is even after preservatives and vitamin A (retinyl palmitate) by weight in the ingredients list. I think the witch hazel was somewhat toning without being drying, and despite all the fruit extracts, I did not notice a strong scent from this product (granted, my sinuses have been clogged lately). I appreciate that it doesn't have any artificial fragrances, and the only colorant is titanium dioxide (which adds a whitish cast), but that is a common mineral sunscreen ingredient as well and I know it works well with my skin. In the end, if you like relatively harsh exfoliation and have oily skin, this is a good product, but it is definitely not for everyone. ... show more

  • Pricy But Good
If the years are adding up and you're starting to see some age spots or redness, be it on your face or hands, this product really helps. I noticed a difference within days. Not cheap but it works. Highly recommend.

This is a great! I received it in my ipsy bag and love it! Love the cooling sensation and the exfoliant. I have been using once a week.
