Description

The Makita 1" AVT Rotary Hammer (model HR2641, with D-Handle) is engineered with Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT), an internal counterbalance system for significantly less vibration. The HR2641 combines performance and power with less vibration in a compact size and is ideal for a range of applications including overhead drilling. The new HR2641 has an 8 AMP motor that delivers 2.9 Joules (2.1 ft.lbs.) of impact energy to handle the most demanding applications. The 3-mode operation offers "rotation only", "hammering with rotation" or "chipping only" for multiple applications. Modes can be easily changed with a recessed hammer-function selector, which is located below the gear housing for improved durability. The ergonomic D-shaped handle with a rubberized soft grip provides increased operator comfort, as well as a retractable tool hook to secure the tool to studs, ladders and rails when not in use. The HR2641 is engineered for a range of applications including overhead drilling into concrete, wood and metal, removing tile and more. It is ideal for a range of trades including masons, plumbers, electricians, sprinkler installers, city maintenance crews and general contractors seeking a best-in-class 1" rotary hammer.

  • Underestimated how handy this would be
The ergonomics are good. Have done a variety of hole dimensions in stone and concrete and has worked great. Not powerful enough to get through much with the breaker bit, but that's not why I bought it. The grinder with a cutting wheel also would great. Bonus is that I found a mixing paddle with an SDS attachment so I can use the drill to mix small batches of sand mix or addictive. ... show more

  • Great Price/Great tools
Great price/ Great tools, we are remodeling and the rotary hammer was used to pull up the title that we could not get up with the hand scraper the grinder removed the last of the grout for a nice smooth surface for our new floor. We also have started downsizing a floor to ceiling brick fireplace using the Rotary hammer to drill holes in mortar and remove bricks. These 2 tools have saved us tons off time and did not break the bank. ... show more

  • It is Solid as a Rock! (Update)
I bought this one after a smaller "generic" brand broke...I ran out of luck and the front pellets fell off its tip, once reestablished it has been taking a good beating with brick and tile demolition, it is strong and powerful, and now almost 3 years later I can confirm it is a bulldozer, I been able to drill thru granite.. or open holes thru 30 years old , 8 inch concrete dried platforms, this drill will go thru just about anything it is given, a true performer. ... show more

  • Great Product
As one would expevt from a make like Makita the drill is great in all modes. From chiselling to drilling. Gets a little hot after a while but knowing a Makita it will last for years. Good Buy and a great price.

  • Takes a pounding and keeps on working…
Used the HR2641 to remove about 1200 sq. ft. of tile and thinset, and for drilling holes in concrete floor for wedge anchors. This tool does it all. Great tool.

  • This thing will drill through anything!!!!!!!!!!!!1
This thing drilled a beautifully 1" clean hole through a 10" solid concrete foundation. Didn't even need the carbide bit. Literally 10 minutes max time and just some dust. Running a rod through the foundation to attach a large 1" eyebolt with a coupler to use as a place to attach one end of a winch to pull a car into my garage and onto a lift. Low vibration and very efficient. Not sure how many times I'll use this but when you need it there's nothing like it. Used many tools in my day. This works as described and then some. ... show more
