I like the size small, portable, easy to operate, long electrical cord, and good radio. The sound is very good. I found that some music needs to be turned down a speck to adjust the tone in sound. It is a small price for a "little trooper" of a CD player and radio. Makes a good gift!

I bought so I could leave the radio on at home for my cat while I'm at work. CD player nice to have since most cars don't have a player anymore and I have dozens of them. The sound is very basic. I don't feel it has the same quality of cassette and CD players Magnavox made in the 80s-90s. Don't expect JBL or Bose speaker type sound. The digital display only shows the tune number of the CD playing and not the radio station, which would be way more useful. The radio dial is a horizontal knob on the side. You have to turn the power on at the back to play a CD or radio. Basic, does the job. No Bluetooth on this model but you can plug an aux cable to another device. ... show more

This is definitely a CD player (and theoretically a radio, but I'm not using it for that). It's compact and looks fine. It plays audio CDs (but as far as I can tell, does not play MP3 CDs or anything). It has the worst speakers this side of the Dollar Tree. Muffled and somehow at the same time tinny. I can only describe it as "If I had to listen to music through these, I would hate music." thankfully I'm just using it to play lullabies for my kid at night and he doesn't seem to mind. I haven't tried the radio. I imagine it would have the same sound issues and the station uses a dial on the side with the number pressed into the dial so it seems kind of... difficult to tune but again, I haven't tried it since I don't need it... but if you need a radio I would recommend spending an extra three fiddy and getting something that shows the station on some kind of display... or at least a station BAR and not this dial. It has a little LED display but it only shows CD track numbers or the word "NO" when there's nothing loaded. Additionally there is no line out jack, so you can't connect it to better speakers. There IS a line-in jack if you have another device you want to play through this to punish yourself. Honestly, this is a music machine and it can only be used to listen to music poorly. Save your allowance, wait a week or two and get something better. ... show more

This is my 2nd one, the first one lasted for 20 yrs..I read some of the reviews and it was like they’re reviewing a totally different player..volume worked great, I use it turned down low go to sleep and turn it up if I’m listening to it during the day because it is a radio as well as a cd player Don’t believe the bad reviews, maybe they didn’t read the directions I don’t know.. ... show more

I bought this to replace a different unit that stopped working. This is my shop cd player. It will endure temperature changes and airborne saw dust. So far (about 3 weeks) it is doing fine and plays all the cd's I have put in so far. (the old unit got to the point that sometimes it played and the next time it wouldn't even on the same disc.) Ask me for another review in a year and I will tell you how well it has lasted. I read some negative reviews before purchasing but took a chance anyway. And, so far, it is doing great. ... show more

Cd boomboxes are so hard to find especially in store. Unfortunately the quality is basic for this one but it does play the cds. The sound quality is hollow, not so clear but overall 4/5. My son likes to play his music so it’s good enough for him.
