  • The Best Protection for rose pruning or thorny plants!
Color: Tan & Purple Size: 7/S Style: 2 Pair
I absolutely LOVE these gloves! They are perfect for rose pruning as well as for trimming all other thorny bushes and brambles . They have a very comfortable fit, cover your arms for great protection from scratches or pokes, and are washable. They are very useful for any other types of gardening as well so you don't have to change gloves while working! My son gifted me the first pair and I've liked them so much I bought 2 more... so then my son got 3 more pairs for his good friends and himself. ... show more

  • wish i had a body suite out of these for pruning my roses!
Color: Tan & Purple Size: 7/S Style: 1 Pair
bought these as a replacement for older rose gloves that no longer seemed to protect me from thorns. Recently purchased a home that came with 20 rose bushes that had been deadheaded, but never pruned. Needless to say, it was torture! These gloves protected me from thorns -- which they came in a body suit! Don't know yet about durability or how waterproof they are. I never prune when wet so I doubt I will every be able to rate that feature. Durability can only be determined over time though the material and construction seem strong ... show more

  • First Try At Roses, First Pair of Rose Gloves
Color: Tan & Green Size: 9/L Style: 1 Pair
I have regular/standard gardening gloves and figured they'd be just fine managing my new roses. I was a fool! I was getting stuck and stabbed all over the place. The leather ones worked better than standard, but then my arms still got scratched up. I did a little research and saw that this brand was recommended by some of the gardening websites. I took a chance and ordered the ones in the least expensive color. I have been pleasantly surprised. They fit well, I got Large. I am overweight and have wider forearms at 5'10 than an average woman and these fit. They aren't roomy, but they aren't tight. I also have pretty sensitive hands, no callouses etc. So while my hands look nice, wearing gardening gloves can be it's own challenge. In most leather gloves the inside seems start rubbing sores around my joints. I haven't had that issue at all with these. They are comfortable and seem sturdy. Should the pair I have wear out, I would buy these again. ... show more

  • Nice gloves
Color: Tan & Purple Size: 8/M Style: 1 Pair
These are nice garden gloves. I love the longer sleeves, especially for weeding or working with roses. Feels like they protect your hands and arms. They do get a bit hot though as you wear them outside!

True as described for pruning roses. These gloves have protected my hands and arms while cutting back my big rose bushes.

  • Perfect for dealing with thorns
Color: Tan & Purple Size: 9/L Style: 1 Pair
They work just as they should. Use them for cleaning out rose bushes. Little stiff but they will break in. Not 1 thorn got me! 😁

  • Good for small hands
Color: Tan & Purple Size: 7/S Style: 1 Pair
Unlike some other reviewers, I would not size up -- these are just right for my hands. The four fingers are just the right length, and the thumb has a bit of extra space at the end. (My hand measurements: base of palm to middle fingertip = 6¼"; base of thumb across palm to base of pinky = 3½"; wrist circumference = 6¾"; wrist to inner elbow = 8"; ring size = 5). The wrist and the gauntlet are a little looser than I would like, although maybe I will appreciate that when it's sweatshirt weather. The end of the gauntlet is a little less than 3" from my elbow. The lower halves of my forearms are currently covered in poison ivy rashes. The gloves cover the rashed area completely, so hopefully they'll prevent this from happening again, otherwise, I'll look for one that goes all the way to the elbow. These are a good material/thickness for weeding and general gardening, but they are not thorn-proof. ----------------------------- Updating almost 2 years later: I changed the 4-star review to 5. I am very pleased with these gloves and have just ordered another pair. (The old ones are still going strong; the 2nd pair is for when the 1st pair is in the wash.) I was using a electric hedge trimmer recently, and absent-mindedly started it up without putting my left hand on the safety bar. My pinkie finger was caught in the whirring blades for a second or two. The glove saved me from losing a fingertip, and I ended up with just a little bruise (and a lesson learned). ... show more

  • These are my go-to gardening gloves (and I've tried MANY!)
Color: Tan & Purple Size: 7/S Style: 2 Pair
I absolutely love these gloves, and buy them a couple pairs at a time as a result. A year ago I made the mistake of trying a similar-looking brand, which cost less. BIG mistake. Here's why: these MAGID Extra-Long Thornproof Pruning and Gardening Gloves are comfortable on my small (delicate) hands, tough as nails when gardening around anything with thorns, and wash/dry like a dream! (Yes, I wash & dry my gardening gloves occasionally when they've become too caked with dirt) The cheaper pair I bought a year ago --- even though they looked almost identical to these gloves --- weren't as flexible in the fingers, and I ended up bruising the tiny knuckle joint just beneath my nail bed on both middle fingers. It's a weird injury that's lasted 9 months now, long after I stopped wearing the inferior gloves. The MAGID Extra-Long Thornproof Pruning and Gardening Gloves are just so darn comfortable & flexible in comparison. I will buy them for as long as they're available. ... show more
