Where's this been all my life? It really stretches as you wrap it and it fuses to itself. I used it to wrap around the ends of the USB and other cables to strengthen the ends where the ends of the cables and connectors meet. Strengthened my phone charging cables in the cars and the cables for the Garmin units and radar detectors. For electrical purposes, this tape is perfect. As for plumbing, I'd include a reinforcement to plug a leak in a pipe. Perhaps using a piece of innertube to cover the actual leak and secure the innertube by wrapping this tape around it. I seem to run into oddball situations that need a solution that falls outside of the norm for a product... So I go to Amazon and usually find an answer to my need. Here's where this silicone tape from D-NYX comes in. My tractor has a long rubber fuel tube that snakes around from the fill tube to the tank. I found it starting to leak while filling with fuel. So I looked for an OEM replacement. I found one, they are ridiculously expensive. Meanwhile, I found this "tape". It's tape in the tradition look and exterior feel. It looks a lot like a slightly wider electrical/black tape roll. However, as I unrolled it, I found the underside is not at all sticky! To my surprise tho, it does "stretch adhere" to itself quite nicely. So I guess that's what the self-fusing description means. Well, it works. Just don't expect sticky tape. By itself, it doesn't stick at all. This is a pro for many situations. But it could be a con if you are trying to peel and stick! Anyway, nice and stretchy without loosing its composure. It's tough and strong and rubbery. Completelly flexible. Not terribly hard to work with. However, you'll see the clear plastic divider sheet that separates the rolled layers. This is necessary, but gets in the way. It's best to cut it off as you go. I ended up wrapping this silicon wrap all the way around and top to bottom of my large fuel line. It worked nearly perfectly. I also no longer and seeping out fuel when filling. I'm not sure how well it'll hold up to fuel over time, but I do know it's a heck of a lot less expensive than the factory replacement tube! So I'm pleased. I feel this has a wide variety of uses and will perform well under many conditions. I'm pleased with this product. It's not cheap, but I think you get your money's worth and it'll meet lots of niche needs. ... show more

The last headphones I had came apart at the place where the bow attaches to the cups. I got this to prevent that. It stretches very well which insured that it wrapped thay joint tightly. I believe that it will make my headphones solid for years. I think It is a good product at a good price.

There are a lot of uses for silicone tape. For Instance: I wrap the chain stays of my bicycle to prevent chain slap damage to the paint. I keep a roll in the car in case a coolant hose bursts. It makes a nice grip/pad on garden tool handles. I could go on... Product Quality: This is some of the thinest and stickiest silicone tape that I've used. It's quite thin at around 0.7mm thick. And that thinness allows it to stretch quite a bit. Unlike many brands of silicone tape, this particular brand is not tapered at the edges. There's 9.8 feet on the roll (not verified). Product Use: I used this for two purposes. The first was to repair the outer coating of a compressed air hose to prevent further deterioration. The second use was to rewrap a small area of one of my car's spark plug coil pack harness that had deteriorated. The thinness, abrasion resistance and heat tolerance were perfect for this application. Final Thoughts: This particular brand's lack of tapered edges sets it apart from some of the other silicone tapes I've used. Since it's flat across its width, it can be wrapped with tight overlap without building up bulk. Did I mention this stuff is really sticky? Don't let it stick to itself! Great stuff. I've only had this tape for a few days, and I've only used it once on a small job. I have to say, I've never used this type of tape before, but from now on, this will be my "go to" tape for any sealing out fluids type job. This tape is not sticky on one side, it's totally different than anything I've used before. This tape kinda fuses to itself when you wrap it around something. Once it sticks to itself, it seems to almost act like a spray on rubber coating. Very unique and for certain jobs, it is certainly perfect. The only little job that I've used it was on an extension cord that needed a new end, so after I installed the end, I tried the tape on it just to make it more water proof. Wow....I can't think of any other type tape that would do a better job. This is not a tape that you would use to HOLD two pieces of paper together, but for sealing...it's perfect. I will stick to itself, but not much else. ... show more
