I like creating different timers for things I cook regularly. One example is that I know it takes 2 minutes 30 seconds for my stove top to reach a desired temperature. I tell Alexa to create a “Stove” timer for that amount of time & all I have to do is ask Alexa to activate the “Stove Timer”. It remembers the last setting for that timer name. Awesome! The current time is always displayed. The time accessory makes the Flex device extremely useful for this purpose. If you own the discontinued Flex, this accessory is a must. I have several of the Alexa minis around the house now and I found these at my doctors office and took a minute to find but they are awesome! Works by simply plugging them into the usb on the bottom and boom you have a clock too!

    • A simple yet wonderful addition
At only $7 the clock for Echo Flex is a bargain. It's bright and always on. The one issue I had for attaching this to my Echo Flex is location. Nearly every outlet in my humble abode is a mere 18" (or so) above the floor and not an ideal place for a digital clock. Actually, the vast majority of my outlets are blocked from view by furniture, etc. You'll need to be creative in finding a suitable location, maybe a kitchen area where outlets are typically counter top high. This does just what it advertises with no setup. This plus an echo flex create a great smart timer. It knows it’s orientation, so the clock always shows the correct side up. Sideways plugs will orient sideways, though. We are a google assistant family, but now I use the echo flex with this solely as timers. The cable box was changed in my son’s Game Room, and this new box doesn’t have the time displayed. He already has a Echo Flex in that room, and I decided that this clock would be perfect. It was very easy to connect to the Flex, displays the time just right, and my son loves it.
