Something must be said about the quality packing job that was done. It went beyond the minimal padding protection in the box. Each container had shrink wrap on the tops. Removed the tops and there's another plastic layer that sat between the container and lid. The there was cardboard surrounding the outside of the containers to protect the glass. One of the medium containers slipped from my hand on to the counter and surpringly did not chip. It fell about 6in or so with the top corner hitting first and nothing chipped. The tops look to scratch easily but that has no bearing on my review. The seals are easy to remove for cleaning which is nice but im curious to see if they hold up where they are glued. Now let's see how the seals and glass hold up over time! ... show more

I just got this gift for Christmas for someone but unfortunately three different plastic lids were chipped and cracked on the edges. The box it was shipped in did not look damaged on the outside but it was shipped with other heavy items and the actually box for the class storage containers was slightly crushed. Like it had been set on its side with weight put on top. I’m unsure if that is the reason the lids were damaged or it the plastic is just not very durable and cracks easily.
