    • Not a coop, but a pretty good run
First, just to be clear, it's not a coop, but it's a pretty good run. You could certainly build a smaller coop and put it inside, but in my case I used it as part of an enclosed run attached to an existing coop. It was easy to put the frame together, but you'll want pliers or a mallet and a dowel to straighten some bent ends. The poles themselves are sturdy enough to hold chicken wire and resist some force, but they're still fairly thin and will bend with enough pressure. The chicken wire that comes with it is pretty standard stuff. It's not going to keep predators out, but it's enough to dissuade hawks, etc., and will certainly keep chickens in. Many different sellers seem to be selling this particular model or something similar, so shop around. At the price I paid I thought it was very reasonable for what I got. ... show more

Assembley was a breeze until ypu had to install the netting. All the netting was installed with zipties which were of poor quality. Assembling the run literally took 20 min it all snapped together and was great, but netting installation took hours. It is a really well crafted product. The instructions are very confusing. It would have been nice for them to explain that you have about four extra feet of chicken wire. And I would recommend wrapping the chicken wire around the pole that you're fastening it to otherwise your left with frayed pieces of chicken wire that scratch you when you walk by. With the amount of leftover chicken wire it could have been put together a lot better ... show more

What they don't tell ya is how much of a pain it is to net the thing. Frame is stupid easy but the roll of chicken wire and cutting it all, it will always haunt my dreams. I traded the zip ties out for rebar wire and it's solid. Love that it comes with ground spikes and anchors. The latch/lock... I mean it works but I'm looking to upgrade it. Not bad for a $200 run and I was able to tie it into my existing coop ... show more

This product is not designed well and it is very weak. We spent 3 days putting ours together. It took longer because we had to do a lot of predator proofing. Four hours after we finished a big rain came through and water accumulated on the roof and broke one of the roof poles in half and tore the eyelet out of the tarp. We will find a way to fortify it but I definitely would not recommend this product. ... show more
