I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought this weighted blanket. I have friends and family members who use them and rave about them. I struggle a bit with anxiety and staying asleep at night. I bought the blanket hoping that it would help and it has! I bought the 12 pound blanket and it's the perfect weight. Even though it is suggested that I use a much higher weight, I didn't want the blanket to be oppressive, so 12 pounds seemed the right weight. I love that it doesn't feel hot when used for long periods of time and that the beads used are sewn into individual pockets that make up the blanket. The weight doesn't shift all to one side because of the individual pockets. The blanket feels like a hug and helps settle me at night. I would definitely recommend this blanket! ... show more

Both of my sons love the blanket. We chose 12 lbs and it is definitely heavy, although my 8 year old wants 15 now. He also said it became too hot by the morning, but he is very warm blooded and gets hot easily. My other son said it wasn't too warm and it was just right. Yes, technically itโ€™s a weighted blanket but I wish it was heavier. It doesnโ€™t help me sleep as much as I expected. I had read in a previous review that the beads end up flowing to the edges of the blanket, which I found to be true. I wish the weight was evenly distributed - I need to keep adjusting it and holding the blanket at different angles to get the beads over my body again. ... show more
