Our design is primarily based on waves and sharks teeth which are also echoed as fret markers.Item ID: UKE TC MAHModel Name: Uke Tattoo Concert MahoganyDesign Feature: Laser Hawaiian Tattoo DesignDexterity: Right HandedBody Material: MahoganyBody Type: UKE ConcertTop Material: MahoganyTop Contour: Flat TopNeck Material: MahoganyScale Length: 15" (381mm) UkeConstruction: Set NeckNeck Shape: CFretboard Material: RosewoodInlays: MOP Shark Teeth of Frets: 18Fretboard Radius: FlatNut: Graphite (OEM)Nut Width: 1 5/16" (33mm)Tuners: Open GearKnobs: NoneHardware Color: PearloidBridge: RosewoodFinish: Satin Natural

  • What Am I Doing?
Size: Concert Color: Bundle w/ Hard Case
I am not a musician; but, I am a drummer who loves music. I fiddled around with other instruments when growing up, but drumming was always my natural talent and passion and so now as an old man set in my ways, I was hesitant to try and learn how to play something new. That being said, I decided to to learn how to play ukulele as a way to enhance the coffee shop trio that I currently drum in. I'll say that if you are thinking about taking up the ukulele, but you aren't sure if it will be too difficult for you, give it a shot! If this clumsy drummer can do it, anyone can. This ukulele is the only ukulele I've ever picked up and I am loving it. I'd like to offer some pros and cons for your consideration. Pros: 1. Beauty- this is a beautiful instrument and the laser etching is very intricate, giving the uke so much character. I'm sure there are others just as pretty, but I really enjoy the design of this one. 2. Sound- I suppose this should be the #1 on my list, but as a novice, I'm not sure if this sounds better than other ukes in the same price range or even if the sound outweighs the pretty. It does sound nice, though, and as I really begin to learn what I'm doing, I'm sure it will sound even better. 3. Case/tuner- let me just say that I was surprised as the quality of both the case and tuner that comes in this package. I thought the case might be really cheap; it's actually quite rugged and tough and it is lined like a hardshell guitar case with a compartment for picks, straps, etc. And if that wasn't enough, imagine my surprise when I opened the case to find that the ukulele was resting comfortably in a Luna gig bag that fits inside the case. The gig bag comes with shoulder straps so that you can wear it as a backpack and the case comes with a handle (like a suitcase) and a shoulder strap, Also, I've had to use the tuner multiple times and it is awesome; it even has a setting for "ukulele" and is pretty much idiot proof. Cons: 1. Tuning- The reason I've had to use the tuner so much is because thus far, the uke falls out of tune pretty easily. I've only strummed it enough to learn a few songs and from what I understand, new strings tend to fall out of tune until they have been "broken in." I don't know if this is true or not, but I'm assuming this will be the case with the uke. If it fails to stay in tune after regular playing, I will update my review. Summary: 1) Easy to learn; 2) Great look, sound, case. 3) Hoping it stays in tune. Peace & Love... UPDATE: I've owned this uke for a while and I play it once a week. As suspected, the strings stay in tune without issue now. After sitting in the case for a week, I will tune it only to find 3 or all strings still in tune. I just purchased a Luna soprano uke and am experiencing the same "breaking in the strings" issue that I experienced with this uke. Not concerned. Peace. ... show more

  • Great Ukulele Kit
Size: Concert Acoustic-Electric Color: Bundle w/ Gig Bag
This is a Great Kit. I have had 4 Ukuleles and this one is by far the best. It is easy to play, sounds great, and looks nice too. Being a Concert Uke, there is slightly more room for my big fingers to get a chord fingered correctly. As a bonus, the bag is well padded and of high quality. The tuner works well, as long as it doesn't get too far out of tune. I haven't yet watched the included Instructional DVD, I originally learned by searching you tube and continue to play songs from there and sheet music sites. So no comments on the DVD. ... show more

  • Great for the money.
Size: Concert Acoustic-Electric Color: Bundle w/ Gig Bag
I tried out some other low cost uke’s before buying the Luna Tattoo acoustic/electric. For the price, none of these will be highly refined, exquisitely finished pieces of art, but there’s a big difference in sound quality and aesthetic between the lower priced brands. The Luna Tattoo uke is well constructed for its price point, and somewhat conceals it’s simple craftsmanship with a pleasing “tattoo” motif. For the price, the slightly larger body (non “pineapple” uke) gives a nicer tone than competition. I have not used the amp output, but the controls seem well made, not like some cheaper output control modules I have seen. It might not be a professional, concert grade instrument, but for a uke I can enjoy playing casually for not a lot of money, the sound is great, and the aesthetic is pleasing. ... show more

  • daugher loves it...and she did her research!
Size: Concert Color: Bundle w/ Gig Bag
I don't know much about these things, but my daughter picked it out after talking to many uke players and researching this and other brands (told her that I wouldn't buy her another if it turns out to be a bad one). The price was right too. All I can say is that she loves it. Seems to stay in tune for a while. Appears to be a great bundle (includes a case and tuner). ... show more

  • I’m a beginning student and love my choice of uke!!!
Size: Concert Color: Bundle w/ Gig Bag
I’m not totally sure of what I am doing yet....I’m so grateful for YouTube....so much info out there to help you!!! I read many reviews of many Ukuleles and decided on this one because of reviews ...and love the look! I received my uke very quickly and decided to not wait for Christmas😃. I opened it up and wanted to get it tuned and ready to go. It took me a few tries to figure out what I was doing with the tuner...I even emailed Austin Bazaar with a question. Within a few minutes I figured everything out and AB even responded to my email and offered to help anytime! I soooooo appreciate this and I am very impressed with their customer service !!!!! Shout out to Joseph and thank you! Laurie ... show more

  • Pretty awesome for the money
Size: Concert Acoustic-Electric Color: Bundle w/ Hard Case
Pretty awesome for the money. There is a slight rattle that I haven't been able to identify... I think it is one of the wires for the pickup. It is pretty minor, but a little annoying if you know it is there. The little buzz is why I knocked it down 1 star. Still, even with the buzz, the rest of the sound is lovely and perfect for what I do. This pickup is amazingly good too. The fit and finish are also excellent. It stays in tune very well, and the cutaway is actually surprisingly helpful. Really good kind-of whim purchase. Pros: Cost, Overall sound, comes with a case, comfort, nice neck, good looking. Lovely wood, great smell too. . Cons: This little buzz that I can't seem to find... that's about it. ... show more
