This timothy Hay by Oxbow is not only a great option for the price but it's also a great basic grass hay option to buy with the high quality nutrition that your rabbit needs in their diet. (The high fiber, low protein and calcium content that is). When I opened it I immediately smelled that fresh timothy fragrance, and upon further inspection the color of the hay was beautiful and just as green as good timothy grass should be in appearance. This brand has always been an irresistible tasty hay for my rabbits! Oxbow has always been a brand favorite of all my pets… we have bunnies, a chinchilla, and guinea pigs and all of them go crazy over this blend! The hay pictured is a different blend but still Oxbow’s brand and they love it as well!

I really like oxbow hay however I have figured out that anything higher than 40oz or their western Timothy hay tends to be not great quality. Tends to be dried out, brown, limp, just not good quality. Makes me not want to give it to my bunnies. I will try it again but not from a big bag.

This is the only hay I will buy for my guinea pigs. It’s the most bang for your buck. I have noticed there is not as much dust in this really at all and also it’s full on good hay. My guinea pigs love it. I’m convinced it must taste better than other hay. It also smells fresh: the bag is very durable and I like to use the bag when it’s empty, the only down side is that it’s hard to pull apart without getting hay splinters .
