Ordered this for my son to begin playing banjo. He loves it and it arrived just like the picture. Good quality and very pleased. It arrived a day early than expected.

  • Amazing Value!
Size: Concert Banjolele Kit
I've played guitar and ukulele for about 57 years, and of course have been through quite a few instruments-- enough to know a good one when I hold it and play it. This Kmise concert-scale banjo uke was my first venture into the "banjolele" world. It is very well put together, plays accurately, feels great, and sounds very nice! (The only modification I made was to remove the back cover, loosely stuff a couple of plastic bags (such as you'd get when buying things at Walgreen's or Target) in there, and then replace the back cover, which served to nicely tone down the otherwise loud voice of the instrument. I just don't think you could ask for more in an instrument-- and at this price it's an absolutely insane value! Highly recommended! ... show more

  • OK, but missing parts. Update = no support. Update #2 = a customer service response
Size: Concert Banjolele Kit
I oedered the banjolele kit. The kit description is: The kit description in Amazon says: “Package including: 1 x 26" Banjolele 1 x Gig Bag 1 x Strap 1 x String 3 x Picks 1 x Tuner 1 x Piezo Pickup”. Missing parts are the strap, picks, and piezo pickup. Also, no battery for the tuner. The quality of the instrument is very good in general, but there are a couple of not ideal issues. The ends of the frets are sharp and need light filing. The strings are not holding tune very well so far. Perhaps the strings will stabilize better after use and a few retunes? I emailed Kmise customer Service regarding the missing parts and will update based on their response. Overall, this is a high value banjolele and kit…. If all the parts show up. Update: i sent two emails to Kmise customer support and had a chat session with Amazon support. Zero response from Kmise. I very much like the banjolele, but if there is a problem with the product or your order, Kmise support seems non existent. So 5 starts for the product and zero stars for support. Update #2: Kmise finally reponded after Amazon intervention. Kmise reports the missing items have shipped to me. ... show more

  • This sparks so much joy
Size: Concert Banjolele
Great instrument. Good weight and construction, and holds tune even fresh out the box. The kit comes with extra strings, picks, a tuner, and a fun little strap, and case. I took the back off to get a slightly different sound twangier sound than by default. I've always loved the bluegrass and old timey sound of traditional Irish music too, and I'm not getting any younger, so I've been working on learning ukulele and 5 string banjo. Definitely recommend for beginners looking for a different sound too. I'm happy to say that this is the first instrument I can now play a full song on without tabs or references - People are Strange by the Doors. ... show more

  • Zero stars.
Size: Concert Banjolele Kit
I bought this as a Christmas gift for a beginner. It "appears" this may have been a returned item by the condition of the banjolele box itself. The battery was already in the clip on tuner. OK on to the fun of being embarrassed. The D string tuner just turns at the knob and doesn't turn the peg. The E string tuner has distress marks on it. The inserts of the tuners (blue part) are plastic btw. The bridge was jammed halfway over the nut and peghead. The bridge also has a hairline crack in the top. I know, you get what you pay for but this is really bad. Part of it is the build and parts, the other part of it is gift shame, when the person opens the big box and the banjolele box is bent up and squished. RETURNED ... show more

  • Unique voice
Size: Concert Banjolele
I’m not a uke or banjo player. I play guitar in Irish sessions and someone brought one to the session. It was loud enough to hear over the rest and it looked cool. My instrument came in good condition without a case or gig bag. I didn’t get the cool package with all that. I tuned up and started playing. It’s got a consistent tone with a unique voice. I don’t think there’s much usable neck beyond the third or fourth fret. Not much sound anyway but it seems most uke players are always using first position chords. That being said, I’m satisfied with the instrument but sorry I missed buying the package with the case, tuner and whatever else they included. ... show more
