I'm glad this pillow came with a photo of the knee pillow in use. Before I saw the photo, I used the knee pillow as I have used small stand pillows- between my knees. If you sleep on your side with your knees bent, the pillow works best when used just above the knee. The knees are separated, but not actually resting on the pillow. I am a side sleeper and always put a small pillow between my legs to help me sleep more comfortable and to avoid back pain in the morning. This pillow is made of a very soft memory foam material and once it is squished down by the weight of your leg, it really doesn't serve a purpose because then my knees are touching and I start to get that hip pain. It is definitely a quality made product, very soft and comfortable at first. The real problem is that when it is between your legs, it warms up and becomes very soft. I've been suffering with increased sciatic pain over the last year - my sleeping habits leave me sore and in pain the next morning. I received my Luna pillow and feel hopeful that the cushion will help to lessen my pain. The cushion is compact but big enough to wedge between my knees. The quilted cover has a zipper so it can be removed to be washed. The memory foam itself is soft but not so squishy that it totally collapses. If the foam was a bit denser or harder I would like it more, but it's not a deal-breaker, just a personal preference. For the price, this is a good buy, and if you are on a budget, like I am, I think it's a great value. Now, lash pillows and good neck pillows are always so pricey but this one was a great price and I noticed my clients don’t wiggle around or complain about a stiff neck while I’m lashing them SO ya can’t beat that. I'm a side sleeper and have had hip pain that kept me from sleeping all night for a long time. I used a regular pillow between my knees, but it didn't cut it. So, I decided to just try this pillow. It has made all the difference in my sleep. Hip pain no longer disrupts my sleep. Additionally, there was zero smell (even at first pkg opening). The memory foam does just what it's designed to do. I am surprised how well this pillow works! I am small-boned, and when I place the pillow between my thighs, my knees do actually touch each other. However, I think because it holds my legs in a position that my pelvis is in good, constant alignment, I have been having much less back and hip pain. I also like that there is a removable, washable cover, although it is a little difficult to remove and replace. UPDATE! Originally I gave this item 4 stars. While I am still satisfied with the pillow, the zipper on the cover broke after only 2-3 washings. I tried contacting the seller over 2 wks ago asking to have the cover replaced, but have not gotten a response. The washable cover was a nice feature of this product, so I'm disappointed it was not well-made and that I did not receive a response from the company. ... show more

I loved the low price which is why I initially went for this pillow in hopes of relieving my neck and shoulder pain. After spending a night on it I found it very uncomfortable, so I passed it along to two of my family members to try out, who both gave similar negative reviews. I ended up purchasing a more expensive version which has a hole in the middle, which turned out to be exactly what I needed for my pain. Honestly, it has improved my pain immensely, but it takes a few nights to get used to sleeping on such a stiff surface. I would recommend if you are like me and are looking to ease neck and shoulder pain, to skip this cheap version and spend a bit more on a better model. ... show more
