This item is a hip and lower back wrap for those folks with large bellies. Applying the wrap is a two step process. You first put on the thicker belt with the thick part on your lower back and then wrap it around your waist and attach the ends so it's a tight fit. Then you wrap the green belt around and secure that up giving you additional support. The XL fits me fine and I find the quality to be very good. I've been having some lower back issues and do have to rest after walking for 5-10 minutes because the pain increases. I've used this wrap and it does provide some relief where I can do my 30 minute walk without taking breaks. I thought that was pretty good. My back goes out every so often, so I'm happy to have the wrap around for when I need it. The price point is not unreasonable for the benefit and quality you get. This falls in the category of "things I didn't know I needed/ wanted until I tried it". Not sure what I expected, but figured I'd try it and see what it could do. It was surprisingly comfortable! Even though it did tend to "flip" up a bit, it still remained comfortable to wear. There was no pinching or anything. There was one part of the sewn-on label that kept scratching my arm and I couldn't figure out a way to prevent that from happening as turning the belt made it not fit as well. I put a piece of duct tape over that corner that kept catching on my arm and it works. While it's too bulky to really wear 'out' anywhere, I found it provided some useful support around the house and doing chores. Seemed to help keep me straighter and put less strain on my back. It's a nice back support for large waists. I've tried some others in the exercise section but they are too small. This is very large to accommodate big waists. The issue is it has a horrible smell. It smells very rubbery even after airing it out for several days and running it through the washing machine. Folds and scrunches over on itself due to my curves- different in width of waist vs hips and above waist. Seems pointless at that point. Could use being more firm to have more support and not fold over so easily. There’s hugging the curves and then there’s this- it just folds in on itself at your smallest point on your waist. If it could stay firm and hold everything in like it’s supposed to, support you, that would be perfect. Unfortunately it’s flopsy and I’m going to have to return it. Also it’s surprisingly way longer than I thought it would be. With the measuring, I thought it might “BARELY” fit.
