Bought these in Expresso color to replace chairs in small dining area at lakeside cottage. Arrived in a few days. No damage during shipment. Packed well and no missing parts. Assembly was simple. Each chair come in four pieces: Seat and back assembly, right side legs assembly, left side legs assembly, leg assembly connection dowl. Everything bolts together using bolts and allen wrenches provided. Only issue with assembly was one bolt hole that wasn't drilled completely though wood. I needed to drill out the final 1/4" of material to open the hole completely. There were a couple of very small scuffs on the finish of the leg assemblies and dowels. Fairly insignificant. Be careful not to overtighten the bolts that secure the dowels in the leg assemblies. I cracked one end of a dowel slightly by applying too much torque. Just get it snug and leave it. Assembly took me a half hour. Once assembled, chairs feel very solid. They are fairly comfortable as they are, but you could add a small cushion if you like a softer surface. Note: chairs seemed a little smaller than I expected, like they were manufactured at 90% size. Could just be my imagination, since they are replacing a lagre chair with high back. Overall.... satisfied. ... show more

Assembling the chairs was easier than I expected and only took me about 10 minutes per chair. The look of the chairs is great and turned out to be the perfect match for my table. Nice looking but wish I could actually put them together. There is a problem with the depth drilled on the piece between the legs so the nut insert cannot get in enough to let the screw get to it. Now debating if I need to deal with returning this big box or trying to drill out the pieces myself. Frustrating. ... show more

The chairs are fairly priced and are in fact real wood. They were easy to assemble but it took longer than expected. The chairs are smaller than I thought they would be although they are the perfect height for our dinning table. The backs are low and the seat is not very wide. I am thinking about purchasing some cushions for the chairs for comfort. I am keeping the chairs because they are my second purchase for said table and they took too much time to put together. LOL ... show more
