I was going to send these back because the sticky tabs were not sticking to the material but I found some glue dots and it seems to be holding up fine. Material is like a tarp material. I attached all the Velcro dots to each other and cut them out individually since I had a small ledge and a crappy ladder. Took the backing off of them and stuck the material over. Then, I cut from the ledge and tucked in what was left at the bottom, this made it look almost seamless. The room got cooler within minutes and I was able to cover 2 windows with 1… it’s not the prettiest but it does the job!! All in all, I think it’s worth it. ... show more

Our dining room has two skylights, and in the summer even with a ceiling fan this room gets very hot even with all the curtains closed. I purchased 2 sets, cut them to size and put them up and the difference in temperature was at least 10 degrees, which in turn also has kept the rest of our house cool, even during the week of 90° heat we had in Michigan. The media could not be loaded. I like that it blocks out the sun and heat. The only problem is that it should be coming on a roll instead of a fold it has Velcro to adhere to the surface and the fabric and that works well for the money. I think it’s great. It does the job, it’s easy to install. The only issue is that they folded it and when you try to cut on the fold to the right size, it doesn’t work as well as he would like so if they could roll it and put it in a tube that would be better they give you a nice little bag , so you can take it in your car and transport it I think I haven’t tried in the car but I think it will work great better than any type of car shade for babies, so I’m happy with it. Best thing ever! My room is pitch black now and definitely sleeping in longer. Sun hits directly on my window so bedroom would get warm and now with this product, my room is so much cooler. Great product!! I just wish it came with something to clip it together or hold it together on days I want natural light to come in because I do not want my room to be dark 24/7. I love this product. 100% blackout material. I used this on a window that already has blinds. I would not recommend using this on a window that doesn't have another type of covering like blinds because its kinda ugly to look at especially because sometimes you have to use more stickers than you should to hang it up. My daughter in law works nights, now the bedroom is nice and dark for day sleeping. I get nightmare migraines, light is intolerable. No light gets past these black out shades, much better than black out curtains! Photo of room, only green light on the tv can be seen! Actual day time photo.

Legit black out - cut out curtains. I originally thought I could use these on my camper windows in the hopes that my baby could get *some* sleep while camping. I was saddened to find that canvas and the sticky Velcro didn’t work (used safety pins). So 4 stars for that but they did do the trick.
