We’ve long desired a bed larger than Queen and had recently purchased a memory foam Cali King mattress. After deciding we would keep it we needed to get it off the floor and so the search began. Between the limited space in the bedroom, functional preferences, design preferences and price range our options were few. This frame was one of the few which checked most boxes and we are happy with the decision. Cons: Whether purchasing frame, headboard or the combo the availability and shipping dates were all over the place. Since I wasn’t willing to wait 2 months it forced me into certain options. These factors are likely in flux all the time so no stars off for that. Storage... none. There is about a 4” gap at the bottom around the bed so you won’t be sliding anything underneath and there’s no platform to lift so you can’t get under the mattress either. There were no expectations that this item would allow for any storage so no stars off for that. VERY heavy! Trying to get a cat out from underneath for a Vet appointment was not fun. (A hockey stick or broom will help though!) My cat, my problem, no stars off. :-) Pros: VERY heavy! sturdy, no squeaking. Doesn’t get pushed around if you lean or bang into it. It assembles quickly if you have a drill with a screwdriver bit and a 6” extension. Even in a tight space we had this together in about 30 minutes. Appearance and quality is high. There was one tiny thread we clipped and one dirty smudge where the carton had torn. Cleaned up easily. We got the light beige, very neutral, but we probably would’ve liked the light gray as well. That may have been the toughest decision. No more banging my head on the wall when I lean back! Still recovering from a severe concussion in 2018, now the soft/padded heard board saves me from my own stupidity. Misc: We bought the combo together as one. It’s exactly the same as buying them separately. Even the order lines indicate this after it is processed. This means you will receive extra pieces for attaching the headboard so you don’t need most of what’s in the box. If you only buy one or the other to compliment something you already own there’s a good chance the included parts will be all you need. Thank you to all the other reviewers who attached photos!     • A Fine Piece of Furniture
Received this platform bed a day earlier than expected, packed nicely, no issues. I put it together by myself and had no issues so it would be quicker with another set of hands. Don't think you can screw the wood screws into the slats with a regular screw driver as it says. Get a power tool. Honestly it fit so tightly I didn't bother going back and putting them in. I may do that later but haven't had any reason too. It fully supports the mattress, I've had no noise issues or support issues as I have read in some other reviews. I I think this frame is PERFECT! It looks fantastic and gives such a nicer look than having a frame with a skirt over it. And no I'm not a bot or a paid reviewer. I will say I'm a 6'3" pushing 300 big boi though and it holds up for me. ... show more

    • Donning the fitted sheet very sifficult
The mattress sits low in the frame and is very snug which makes it very difficult to get the fitted sheet on. The frame has only about 5 in of clearence underneath so hard to get my sister underneath ( I have hardwood floors) and would be impossible to get a vacumn attachment underbif there was carpet. It is attractive and sturdy, easy to assemble. The slats are screwed in so to disassemble would have to remove the screws ... show more

This platform bed frame is very cheaply made and way overpriced for the quality. I looked at a ton of platform bed frames before deciding on this one because it had good reviews and has the ability to add a matching headboard in the future. After getting it and putting it together, I don’t know how it has any positive reviews. It’s relatively easy to put together...until you get to the slats - then it’s a beast. Firstly, the slats are barely held together with a thin strap that’s simply stapled on each slat. The slats aren’t equal lengths: some are shorter and don’t span then entire width of the frame, others are TOO long and ripped the fabric trying to put them in place and end up bowing upwards. The slats are made of some very cheap composite fake wood crap. I haven’t gotten my mattress yet, but I’m questioning if they’re actually going to be able to support a mattress with 2 adults on it. The “wood” piece the slats get screwed into SPLIT when putting in the first screw (see picture)! Also, when they say you don’t need tools - that’s a lie. At minimum, you need a screwdriver, but in reality, you probably want a power drill (which I unfortunately did not have), because every slat has to be screwed in on each side of the frame and 3 of them also have to be screwed into the middle support. And there are NO pre-drilled holes to do this. Such a pain - literally. Also, because all the slats have to be screwed in, once it’s put together, it’s not coming apart again to be moved. I’ve seen a lot of platform beds that have the slats that just velcro into the frame so it can easily be disassembled and moved - not possible with this one. ... show more

Purchased Cariloha split king adjustable base and twin xl mattresses. Needed a bed frame that would fit it. This fit perfectly. Went together very easily and looks very nice. Purchased stone color. No scratches or tears. We don’t need the slats so maybe we’ll try and sell them on fb marketplace

We purchased an upholstered headboard without a frame and later wanted to add the foot and side rails instead of using a bed skirt. Unfortunately the original headboard had no option for side rails, so the search was on for one that would work. After many months of searching, came across this bed frame--dimensions for the king were exactly right, so the fit between the two side "legs" of the headboard was perfect, and it looks great!     • Beautiful well made bed but transfers movement
This is a beautiful bed frame and is very well made. However my husband tosses and turns dramatically and wakes me up and this frame transfers the movement. So I would highly recommend this for anyone that doesn’t need to worry about partner movement. I was able to remedy the issue by replacing the inner wood slats with a metal bed frame. ... show more
