The door was very easy to install. I installed it in my travel trailer to replace the swinging door. I had to shorten the door by 4” due to the lower ceiling height. Followed the instructions and it went very smoothly. Removing slats to narrow the door was easy as well. I removed one at a time. I discovered that, after removing one slat, when reattaching the hinge section, flipping it end for end, resulted in a lot smoother operating door. Removing two slats, do not flip the hinge section. What a surprise this was. We had to take a 95 year old relative in our home and we turned our large living room into a living room/sleep area for her. The walls were done with expensive paneling and we thought of a nice decorative door in the future when we turned it back into a living room full time. For the time being we were looking for a temporary, cheap solution to give her a sense of privacy in her area. I chose a finish that looked like it would match are paneling fairly well. Our doorway was 37 inches, but we went with this door anyway. When it arrived, the finish matched our paneling perfectly, and the door looks like it was made to go with the paneling. We decided that there will be no need to replace the door in the future, because this one looked so nice. It was easy to put up, but you do need a second person to hold the tracts so you can attach them, and thread the doorway on the tracts. It is a bit too cumbersome to put it up alone.The plastic snaps appeared to be flimsy, but they hold the one side of the door, and the magnetic clip holds the door closed. It fits the 37 inch doorway with plenty to spare. Our guest is old and a bit unsteady and the door has been subject to her cane, bumping, and her grabbing it to steady herself and the plastic clips seems to hold just fine. What was thought to be a flimsy door for a temporary solution, appears to be a very fine addition to the decor and functions very well. UPDATE: 18 months later, this door took so much abuse. My elderly mother-in-law was unsteady and ended up hanging on to the door at various times. She fell once through it and ran her wheelchair into it countless times. It held up to all of that and looks as good as the day we put it in. It has been a great purchase and still going strong. ... show more

A perfect application to our 2cd floor entry area. This area gets zoned down via the heat, unless we have company. So having this installed, which was simple for anyone to do, helps with keeping the heat or cold from migrating downstairs. Prior, we used a heavy duty curtain, but now that we cat sit, when our daughter brings Luigi to stay, we needed a more permanent barrier; this because we have a chocolate lab named Luna who is not a cat fan at the moment.     • Do buy this door. Spend a little more.

This is our 3rd accordion door and by far the worst. We had to cut slightly to fit (always do). Instead of every board having a hanger, it's every other board. The ones without slide down so it's uneven and has big gaps at the top. Then some are still too long at the bottom. It only has one magnet at the handle so the bottom doesn't close tight and leaves a gap. It will be replaced shortly. I am very dissatisfied with this product. ... show more

I bought this and made a three hour drive to the home it was to be installed in. After I arrived I opened the box to discover that all the hardware was missing. Including the handle. After reading other reviews, it seems others have had this issue. Amazon suggested I contact the manufacturer. I’m sure they would have sent new hardware but there was a second issue. The color. The Fruitwood is MUCH more red than the picture indicates. I’ve already packed it up for return, otherwise I’d include pics. Two stars because the parts I received seemed sturdy. ... show more

    • Works great just needs a better door catch.

I thought the width of was a little wide for a 28 “ door . So I removed 1 panel. Fits great. The door catch doesn’t do very well so I’m installing a hook latch. My dog just pushes her nose on the panels and the door opens . We got this to keep the dog in so my wife can let her new kitten roam the house. My Bluey dog came out and the chase started. We just installed ours a couple days ago and I love it!!! The apartment my husband and I are renting from now did not have a door on the bedroom (weird, right?) and so when I would go to bed and he was still up on the tv and talking with his friends, it was really hard for me to fall asleep and stay asleep. Since the door has been up, I don't have this issue at all. My husband is a loud dude, but this door makes it so I don't really hear him when it's time for me to go to sleep. When it came, it was slightly too big on the one side of the doorway (we are in an old house so the floors are slightly slanted). It was easy enough to saw down about an inch and put the screws back in and hang up. Also, when we go to move, if the landlord doesn't want it up, it will be very easy to take back down. So happy with this door. It seems pretty tough so I hope it will last... I highly recommend it! ... show more
