I really like the way this light looks installed in our stairwell. Unfortunately it takes a couple of seconds to turn on. Doesn't sound like much but reaching the 4th or 5th step in the dark before the light turns on is dangerous.

It looks like this was a refurb/returned unit because it had obviously been repackaged (there was even electrical tape holding part of it together - I'm sorry that I didn't take a picture). It does work, and I mounted it (no instructions at all - even further evidence that supports my theory that it was repackaged and sent to me). I don't want to deal with the hassle of shipping it back because I need a light fixture in that spot and don't want to wait for it to be replaced -- however, if I needed this in a place where the public would see it I would be very upset and angry about the state of the fixture that was sent to me.
