The media could not be loaded. I expect a lot from Hue and these lights delivered. The build quality is excellent and the light are extremely bright. They look great on and off. These really modernized our home. It should be noted no installation hardware what so ever is included. This comes with the light and nothing else. Not even wire nuts which I thought was cheap of Hue. If you are able to install these to your existing box using all your existing hardware and wire nuts you will be good to go. However I feel most people will need to buy something additional to install these so beware. I have installed these as wall lights and one as a kind of post light near my gate. Several people have asked about the lights inside. I have included photos of the LED panel inside the unit. Some people complained that these let in water or bugs. The last installation step clearly says to seal the units with caulk. I live in Florida with lots of bugs and water and I have had no issues. I sealed them around the edges with silicon caulk. Husband installed these over two outdoor doorways in an old building, replacing fixtures that no longer worked. These were a royal pain for him to set up because the parts supplied didn't fit (I'm sorry I don't have details). Electrically they are correctly, safely installed. But he had to rig them as far as securing the fixtures to the building. He did. They're secure. It was a pain. But I love these lights! The simple design means it fits with virtually any style home (our style is "old brick school"). We can manage the lighting from afar. And the fixtures are just as reliable as the Philips Hue Smart Bulbs we use and depend on around the house. If you have a more modern building, replacing an old fixture with this light will probably take no more than half an hour. But if not, you may run into some issues. While it does require the Philips Hue Bridge to take full advantage, it's worth it. I use the bridge to connect to Apple HomeKit and automate. Seems very high quality and one of the easier exterior wall lights I've installed. Has great range of color and warm to cool white.

In saying that maybe I should say it made me feel smart to buy it. I’ve had hue lights for some years now and use em all over the place, within reason cuz they’re not cheap. I needed to put up a light and found this. Given the price of this and the ways of the world i expected a flimsy product with a lot of plastic. Upon getting I find a substantial well built and very sturdy device. And best of all a fine looking modern fixture. It’s so nice I’d like to change out more lights with this. The fact that it’s got a hue lamp built in makes this very well designed device cool too. I recommend! ... show more

I think I've bought 9 of these over the years. They are high-quality, easy to install, and look and work great. I've tried the other Econic models and this is the most versatile - I've even used it as an indoor ceiling light.

I love how bright the lights are and easy to setup. The only reason they lost a star is because there is a hole at the bottom that lets bugs in (see picture). I am not 100 percent sure what the hole is for but the bugs found it the first night. Covering the hole fixes the issue but not sure if that affects warranty or lifespan of the bulbs so I did not cover it. ... show more

Packaging had been opened and was missing some parts to mount the lamp. Lamp did work correctly and was easy to install using mounting hardware for existing lamp. Sale price was pretty nice.
