  • i now have a seeing eye dog... thanks
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
If you dont impale your significant other, or knock over all moms good china carrying one of these bulbs around, and manage to insert it into a socket, and your arms and wrists dont give out before you have completed the required revolutions to power this thing, then watch the F@!# out. these are the biggest brightest cfl bulbs i would imagine in our existence. I felt like i quite possibly had gotten to that same carnival game tom hanks in "Big" gave a shot, because my hands were dwarfed by the sheer mass of the things. And after I got the rigged up, I was blown away. Literally. Im allergic to light. thats not true, but the fact that these bulbs are enormous, and incredibly bright is. The bulbs were well worth the small price tag. I would buy them again in a heartbeat. they are well made, good materials, hardy, dont explode into your face like tiny death shards of mercury and glass, and have lasted quite a long time at consistent brightness. I have lets just say put them to the test, being used in a constant light (as in 24 hours) garden ( i like to grow only vegetation native to northern alaska summers), for a time period of around 2 months now, and they still are within 45 lumens of their original output. (im a scientist, i know these things) but seriously, buy these bulbs for anything you may need a second sun for. they dont get hot to the touch, unlike those evil exploding tungsten bulbs, and they are a hell of a lot cheaper. Buy these.. I did ... show more

  • Been using these for years to light up a greenscreen
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
I've been using these for years to light stuff for a greenscreen, and they work great. I've left them on for probably 8-12 hours a day on average for several years (which has probably not been good for my electricity bill, lol). These are huge (nearly a foot long) and *extremely* bright, although the size doesn't matter for my application. I'm very happy with 6500K light over 5500K or 5000K. I kind of wish these were LEDs instead of CFLs, but it's not a big deal. I'd say to buy them if you're hesitant. ... show more

  • QUITE BIG! WORKS GOOD.
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
You had asked me for my review of this product, so here you are. I just received these 2 Lights in the mail yesterday. When I saw the box they came in I thought "What did I order that big?" Found that it was the lights that I ordered. I didn't think they would be that big! OMG "What did I do?" Was not sure if they would fit into an ordinary light fixture's that I use. I asked about them in the Photo Club I belong too. Was told they should work just fine. Ok. Installed one of them to see what happens. Gotta say 1 thing. They sure a bright enough. 6500 K is very bright! Was told to watch out for the heat they put out. They seem to work just fine for me. Now, I should have no more "yellow" background in my Images! ... show more

  • One light arrived broken but I'd still purchase it again...
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
I am sure that I would be raving about these lights, if one of the lights hadn't arrived broken. Before trying it out, I thought I heard a rattling noise in the base. However, I could not replicate the sound and decided that it was in my mind. I screwed the light in and it flicker. Then it went from flickering to smoking! I turned it off quickly, but not before my smoke detector went off. I think I would have rated the light even lower, if it wasn't for Amazon's amazing customer service. I asked it I had to return both lights, or if I could just return the broken item. I was told that the seller didn't have an option for replacements, but they would credit me the cost of the lights. I would then be free to simply order another set. I was advised to simply discard the broken light. The one light that did work was excellent. Of course, at 105-watts it was super bright! The light did have a bluish tint, but my auto white balance fixed it up right away. If anything was amiss, I am sure that I could adjust it upon import into Lightroom. ... show more

  • Lights are as advertised but there are better options for affordable lighting for photos/videos
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
Extremely large bulbs, puts out a decent amount of light. I ordered it for use as a video light but the output wasn't strong enough - maybe if you use more than one at a time which is difficult considering the size of the bulb. I opted instead to use work lights from Lowes for my video lighting needs. ... show more

  • HUGE! BRIGHT! REAL 65K!
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
These bulbs are massive and bright. Look at my pictures. I use these as indoor garden grow lights so I can't speak to the photography aspect of their performance. I can say they feel like looking at the sun. They arrive in a box about 4ft long or so. I didn't realize myself how gargantuos the bulbs are. They do get hot. You can touch the bulb but holding it will burn you. They do produce very close to 65K light. The light reflecting off the wall looks like light coming in a window from the sun. We'll see how long they last but I'm happy with the purchase so far. I will update this review if I run into any issues with how long they last. ... show more

  • Great "105w" bulbs for all of your 50-60w lighting needs
Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)
I bought these bulbs to replace a single 60 w CFL after I dropped and broke it, and I suspect that they are not 105 w bulbs. I don't have equipment to verify my suspicions, but these should be almost twice the lumens as the 60, and anecdotally they appear to be a similar or slightly lower intensity compared with the 60 w. The two are less obnoxiously bright compared with the one, and indeed my plants tolerate proximity to the bulb a bit better, suggesting lower light density. This having been said, they worked well out of the box, and have held up for about 70 hours now (so no out of the box bugs). If they were 105W the price would be good, but what you're getting is a mislabeled bulb for its normal price. EDIT: knocked from 3 stars to 1 when within 24 hrs of writing this review, one bulb died. I bought these on Tuesday and it's Saturday -- with the brightness underperformance, these are really just junk. ... show more
