I like the price. I like the bulbs for the most part. I thought they were the RGB type, but then I recall I was seeking a higher temp color, which is why I ultimately chose these bulbs. It took longer to install the bulbs and get them working because the app (running on my Android mobile device) is not well written. The organization of the app is poor and the help is minimal and not useful. fortunately, the operation of the bulbs is fairly straightforward once the setup is complete. Unfortunately, I find that to get optimal settings and scenes for the bulbs I must frequently use the TreaLife app and the TreaLife Alexa skills. About those Alexa skills: MEH! I think the skill is woefully weak and not imaginatively conceived. Alexa does not know a lot about the bulbs and many actions one would think useful for a bulb, Alexa or the bulbs do not support. I am still trying to figure out how many ways Alexa can control the lights. I note that I am using a pair of bulbs over my bed. One bulb is over my side of the bed and one is over my wife's side of the bed. The grouping capability in Alexa does not work well in my opinion, requiring me to say more than I want to get the setting I want. I'd like a skill where Alexa can set one bulb to the settings of the other, for example, "Set Light 1 to the same color as Light 2" or "Set Light 1 to the same temp as Light 2." In the TreatLife app, the "cool" minimal design is not useful because the adjustment controls are not friendly to those with visual accessibility needs. This really sucks! I cannot overemphasize this point. Also, the scene editing is limited and limiting--even for a basic bulb like this. Many of the features in the app are unexplained or poorly explained, require a lot of experimentation--which I don't mind if such experimentation yields understanding. Overall, I like the bulbs because they are bright and the color is adjustable from warm soft white to harsh cool bluish-white. I would like them to be a bit warmer and offer finer adjustments to color and brightness. If you need fuller-featured bulbs, these are not the bulbs you're looking for. However, for the price, they get the job done. I may revisit this review as I become more familiar with these bulbs. ... show more

This is the second time I've bought these smart bulbs and they work great! Easy to pair with TREATLIFE app and ultimately Amazon Alexa, multiple color modes and brightness, these are long lasting and an excellent inexpensive alternative to some of the more expensive smart bulbs. 100% recommended!!

The media could not be loaded. We absolutely love this lightbulb that we can use with our Alexa device. I love that you can control the color of the lightbulb from your app as well as the brightness to it. You can also set a schedule of when you want the light to turn on and off at different times in the day. I wanted something that we can control by voice in the nursery and it’s the perfect light bulb for the room. Very easy to set up and very user-friendly. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who was thinking about buying it. It also was less than $10 which is even more amazing ... show more

::FIRST:: These absolutely DO work with Alexa, and can be controlled through voice command, as well as through the phone app(s)*. *I say "apps" because yes, a third party app IS necessary for set up, although I highly recommend the 'SMART LIFE' app instead of the promoted product app. SMART LIFE is a free, dependable "universal" smart-home app that syncs with your Alexa app on your smartphone, which is basically your smart-home's command center. **AFTER YOU INSTALL SMART LIFE, YOU SIMPLY ENABLE IT TO SYNC WITH ALEXA. You only do this once: Open Alexa app, go to> More> Skills & Games> Categories> Smart Home, then scroll to find Smart Life> Click> Enable. That's it! Once the above is done, then install your Alexa-compatible products, and continue adding whenever you'd like. If a new smart product is not immediately recognized by Alexa, then simply open and install with Smart Life, first. Alexa will automatically recognize from there. Yes, it's a small learning curve. But its relatively quick and straight forward..... and in my opinion, definitely worth the savings enjoyed with the more budget-friendly products.👍🏻 Now... with that said... The Treatlife smart bulbs are the perfect solution where a single lightbulb applies, i.e. single-bulb table or floor lamps. ▪︎For ceiling lights (chandeliers or pendant groups) controlled by a wall-switch, smart switches are the way to go. ▪︎Smart plugs (for wall outlets), while they can work for lamps, really isn't the "smartest" application. Using smart bulbs in single-lamp applications provides the greatest variety of lighting options. Summary: The third party app is absolutely everything (for Alexa integration).
