The distance between the bed and top of mattress has a decent gap with a 10 inch Mattress so it is a little intimidating at first but he made it work either way. The media could not be loaded. Purchased for my boys room ages 3-4. (The room will not stay pink lol) but the bed came pretty quickly. It’s great material made to withstand wear and tear. Kids absolutely love it can’t wait to finish putting the beds on so they can really enjoy. Bottom bunk is a little low to the floor for my liking and it did take a while to build. Also the slide isn’t interchangeable it’s designed to stay on that one side which is a bit of a bummer but those are minor complaints. ... show more

That's exactly as shown in the picture, I was expecting a plastic slide but it is steal like the rest of the bed. We bought this for our granddaughter 4th birthday. I showed her a selection of beds online and this is the one that stood out and she was Super excited. She called it her big girl jungle gym bed. I build by myself in one afternoon then got assistance from my husband because we put a wood floor w pad and fur rug on the upper bed as a playhouse ....she's too young to sleep on the top bunk. ... show more
