This is actually just an oversized mouse pad the you use upside down. We use it under the coffee pot. That being said, it has worked well in our house. Using the felt side down lets the pad slide out easily from under the cabinet so I can set up a pot of coffee and easily slide it back. I had another slider (plastic with rubber fee) from years ago but it was a pain, always looked dirty, left black marks on my countertop and the top piece kept sliding off the bottom piece since it didn't really slide out far enough to access the coffee pot properly. Husband likes this one much better and I find it easier to clean using just a soft brush with soap and water and hang to dry. ... show more

This is brilliant. I have a Vitamix that I love but don’t use enough to give it counter space. However, storing it at the back of a cabinet meant struggling to get it out. This solved the problem. I put the mat underneath and now I can slide the whole thing out easily when I need to. Seems simple but makes me so happy. The mat itself is fairly thin, but sturdy. My sewing machine is very heavy, but this mat allows me to move it around the table now. At first I thought that it doesn't slide as easily as I had hoped. However, I realized that my machine is a larger, heavier than usual home machine which makes it more difficult to slide and also, if it slid around too easily, my machine would slide around while I was actually sewing due to the vibrations, so that would be a problem. This has worked very well for what I needed, which is to allow me to reposition my sewing machine on the table without hurting myself. It cuts easily to fit whatever form you need.
