This is a great idea if you’re in an apartment with a puppy but if you don’t have the time to clean the grass and plastic daily, keep in mind it stinks. Maybe that’s obvious, but also, think about if you have to take it indoors to clean. Your apartment will stink. I’m the idiot who tried that approach and had to air out my apartment all day and deep clean to make sure nothing smelled like pee. I’m on the second floor of my apartment and have to throw it, along with the pee in it, over the edge of my patio to wash it with the hose outside. I will say though, if you have a convenient way to clean it outside, it’s great. I just started putting a layer of kitty litter between the plastic and the grass to soak up pee and the smell so it’s easier to clean and not smelly. I do really like it but the cleaning is a bit of a process ... show more

I bought 3 of them and made a large indoor area with plastic flowers/fire hydrant for my elderly Pekingese to use on snowy days. The grass quality is impressive. I have used other rolled turf products to cover my balcony, but these are thicker and denser. The 6 panels fit well, so she can’t feel seems and I can take up each panel for cleaning in the shower. I ditched the trays and replaced with thicker potty pads. (The pictures make it seem there is a variance in color. There is not. I just didn’t have them all with the grain going the same direction) ... show more

    • No grate or anything between the cheap grass and the tray. Not well made.

I have one that I'm using for puppies now and it has a spacer grate between the grass and they tray. Makes for easier clean up and less odor. We use the charcoal pads under the spacer. Works well. This one is two pieces of fake grass that sheds and nothing between that and the tray. Overpriced for what it is. ... show more
