This is perfect for my 2 small dogs! One is getting older and cannot go down the stairs into the yard. We put this upstairs on the patio so she can have easier access when she has to go. No problems and cleans up easily with the hose!

My dog gets up almost every night for a potty trip and I am not comfortable taking him out in the dark. He is a Dachshund that squats to pee. I put the 35"x23" tray on the deck and it works great for those nighttime trips. He has plenty of room took to it right away. I like that it came with 2 patches of grass so it can be easily exchanged to be cleaned and dried. I took the tray and grass off the deck out by the faucet. I left the grass in the tray and put some dish soap on it, used the hose with a squirter nozzle on it to agitate and rinse. Then hung it over the deck rail to dry and put the other grass pad back in the tray. It drained and dried quickly. It came out nice and fresh. My plan is to wash it a couple times a week to keep it fresh. ... show more

So this is a great idea for dogs but it takes time to experiment with your pup and this grass. Some pups won’t like it/use it while it might work for others. In my case, it worked but there are pros and cons. Pros: comes with 2 grass carpets so that you can wash and dry one while your dog always has a clean one to use. It took a while but my 8 week puppy learned to do her business only on this grass which is SUPER helpful because we live in the apartment. Cons: a huge con is that my puppy like all puppies was eating this grass and pretty much destroyed the corners of it. I was worried for her to eat the plastic grass in the beginning but eventually gave up because I rather her not go all over the carpets but also she pooped the plastic grass out so not a big deal and one month later she grew out of eating it. Now a month later I have a potty trained puppy thanks to this grass. Was it easy and worry free? No. Was it worth buying this grass. Probably. I suggest you give it a try and see how it goes with your dog/puppy. Might work for some but not all. In my scenario this was the best solution because my puppy didn’t approve anything else such as pee pads, etc. This grass helped my puppy to go potty outside on real grass as well because she made the association/connection. ... show more

My pups, Ms Chicken and Mr Waffles approve this mat. For size, it can comfortably fit two frenchies lying down to sun bathe. It’s perfect for apartment balconies, especially if you’re disabled like myself. I used this mat indoors as well when Mr Waffles was a puppy. Helps them get used to their surroundings and going on “grass.” Super easy to clean for multiple uses. Just throw it into the bath tub and soak with cleaner that’s specific to pets to deodorize the heavy smells. Let it air dry and it’s good to go. I clean every other Saturday…so that’s when I use the 2nd grass cut out. Not sure how many uses, but if you clean it frequently, I’m on 10 uses per mat. You do need to change out the puppy pads daily or every other day. ... show more

I adopted 3 dogs that weren’t fully potty trained, and all 3 of adapted to this indoor potty pad quickly with little instruction. I live in a Fith Wheel RV, so “accidents” simply can’t happen. We just adopted a 10 week old Australian shepherd puppy and I thought it was going to be near impossible to potty train her because our backdoor leads directly to a raised deck that is very high and so we have to take her down a set of steps to get to the yard, but with these grass pads, we can have these right out on our deck, and she is using them very well. I figure as she grows up and gets bigger, we can gradually move these pads to the steps and then eventually she will just naturally want to go down the stairs herself and go into the yard to do her business. ... show more
