I've had the older version of this scale for 2 years and have been happy except that sometimes it had problems communicating with the app. When this scale came out, I bought it to give it a try and was extremely pleased. Not only is it lighter and sleeker, but the display is sharper and more colorful. The app works perfectly now and switching over to the new scale kept all my prior data (I was worried it would be wiped out). So now I can still see that I didn't lose any weight over the last 2 years. Damn scale! It should record all those pounds falling off - hmm, maybe it's a user problem. But hey, at least I know where the problem lies and it is not with the scale. Highly recommended even if it's your first one. Not only weight but bone density and a ton of other things are displayed. I bought this scale back in August when I decided I was going to start hitting the gym and losing the weight I gained during quarantine. I made it a goal to weigh myself often and would sometimes open up the app and let it sync up so that I can keep track of how much weight I lost. It's really easy to use and very convenient/accurate. I have weighed myself on it and at the gym and would notice it is exactly the same weight the scale read. You can also set up a goal in the app and it will alert you when you get there. Aside from that, I live alone but a feature that could be great for someone who doesn't is that you can set up family members in the app so that it doesn't interfere with your own weight trend. It also syncs up with the Apple Health app which is another plus. It also tells you your BMI when you use the app, if you like keeping track of that as well. Overall, I would definitely recommend buying it if you want an affordable but accurate scale that is up to date with technology.
