I bought a medium. I should have purchased a small. It fastened easily in the last row. It's made well, but didn't provide any compression. For reference, my natural waist (the part that goes in) is 29 inches and around my navel is 32 inches. update: I received the small and it fits much better. I just have to fiddle around with it because it scrunches up on me because it's tight. Included is a card to "buy one get one free" with some other verbiage about how you "qualified". Don't fall for this. It's against Amz's rules and if you review anything you got that way, Amz can purge your entire account. Vendors know this. - Made in China - Adjustable straps, uses coated metal - Straps can unhook in back to cross over - Inside is 16 hooks, 3 positions - Good sturdy zipper tho it's plastic - The 2 ribs on the back do have something springing/rigid in them, the rest are just doubled up fabric - Made in China - 90 polyester, 10 spandex - Hand wash cold, do not bleach, do not wring. Do not iron. They've used two non-standard symbols for drying. The closest I can come is drip dry but don't line dry. Yeah. I'm drying it flat on a rack I put in the tub. The 4X size is tiny. It's a gray area for compression garments. They can skimp on fabric and just claim "compression". This is 42" around at the hem so you're going to be getting a workout just getting this on. I'm using it for back support. I can't tell yet if it's helping, that's likely to take a lot longer, so I thought I'd go ahead and do this starting info. 4 stars for now just because of build quality and design. I absolutely love this product!! I orders it today and it fits true to size so I’m 233 lbs and 5’4 so I’m short round lol I got a xxl as it says I wear it on the tightest setting and it fits perfectly the reason I say size down is because you want to start wearing it on the loosest setting then when you stomach shrinks you have room to tighten still. I ordered the black in the same xxl but it fits like an xl which is perfect cause I wear it on the first notch until I work my way tighter ... show more

Bear with me, this review will be unorganized. You're just going to hear my thoughts spill out. I am 5 feet five and 218 pounds. I have a ton of jiggly fat at my belly and waist. I got the 3X and it appears to be the right size. This is my first time, so maybe I'm doing it wrong. I thought it would flatten my belly. After much twisting and grunting and sweating, I can fasten most of the front row hooks. Seeing over the tops of my DD breasts to do this is nearly impossible, but that is not the fault of the product. By the way, the adjustable straps work accurately and well. It is great standing up. If I could stand up all the time, that would be nice. If I sit down, it slips up in the back, doubles over, and the boning sticks out, following a nice fat roll. If i wear jeans tight in the waist, it can squash that back down, depending on the fit, but I do not trust it in public to not slip up further. And most importantly, the belly fat is pushed downwards towards my private area. So what is the point here? Also, I cannot imagine wearing this while in a vehicle with bucket seats. Just a random thought in there. While I can wear smaller jeans at the waist, my belly is not flattened. Maybe that's not the point. It's still there. I'm fat. And I cannot stand up all the time. I am glad the zipper has a hook, and the zipper itself seems strong so far. My posture is great. I am used to slumping so my back hurting is telling me that my posture is now great. When I take it off, I feel like a huge floppy blob. I then want to put it back on and torture myself some more. So this is the "training" part, right? But my posture is good, I am not eating a box of Oreos because I am more conscious of my body, and it's not that bad. I just don't know what to think. That is the honesty in this review. I just don't know. Should you order it at this price and try it? Probably. Should you hope it would be the last one to ever try? Probably not. For sure size down maybe 2 sizes. After wearing this once on the first hooks it stretched to the second. After the second to have the same tight feeling I was on to the third. It does not have the legitimate boning it appears to have. The structure it does offer will collapse after about 3 wears. What I LOVE about this product is the hook system, covered by a tight zipper which has a bra like clasp at the top preventing the zipper from falling down on its own. It’s pretty great and I haven’t seen that before. I read a lot of reviews that said to size down so I did from a large to a med. Im thinking an XL would fit. I couldnt get but 3 snaps together 🤣🤣 Otherwise arrived quickly, packaged neatly and seems like a quality garment.
