I am using this mounting putty in an extremely weird manner, so I cannot speak to the adhesion or ease mounting quality. I personally use these tabs to clean my electronics. I had a thermostat on my wall. You know, like we all do, and I am not one for bare walls. It was just there, sad. Lonely... plain. It needed some love and pizzaz because, you know. Why the heck not? Only problem was I didn't want to nail a hanger into the wall on top of the poor thermostat, so I looked for putty tabs. They worked great in college, why not now? So, I bought a glamorous (cheap) picture frame off of Amazon, cut the back off because for some reason someone decided to make a cheap frame *really* well (Who are you? I appreciate, love and loathe you all at once), stuck the putty on and... It's been about two months now. That frame hasn't moved, and it isn't actually a light frame either. Kind of heavy for its size actually, but dang my thermostat is pretty! So yes, this putty is perfect and great and if you're in college or live in a rental it's a perfect way to get your things on the wall without dealing with nails and a hammer. Also, my wall isn't perfectly flat. It's got some bumps that I think are supposed to be artistic or something? I'm renting this house so I didn't get to pick. This is not a good wall sticky. It didn’t hold up a simple poster and when I took it off the blue stained my wall and a party pulled up my paint from my wall. I suggest buying a different wall sticky. Not good and not happy with this.

As a classroom teacher, this type of adhesive is a classroom staple. The “blue” type seems to adhere better and remove more completely from block walls than the “white” varieties. I am now in a homeschooling setting so I am using these on regular drywall for the first time. It sticks well and is easy to use. A new-to-me feature of this brand is the scoring on the product provides a guide to how much should be needed. I like that. We used this product to hold various sized mirrors and small wooden plaques to a freshly painted wall. This is a five star product. I waited several weeks to give a review since so many seemed to thing that the product only worked for a short time. That said, it is now several weeks later and all of the mirrors we hung up on my daughters wall all still firmly affixed to the wall. After working with the product I am confident that removal will be as flawlessly satisfying. It is important for folks to understand that this product is NOT an adhesive, per se. You don't just stick them to the object then press them to the wall. It takes some pressing and turning and slowly "working it in to the materials as you press them together. Argue with me if you want but these things work well and are very inexpensive for what you get. Removal would be the same, I suppose. Maybe warm it a bit with a hair dryer and kind of turn and press it until you can easily pull it off. Great product. But I don't think I would hang anything like a larger picture frame or something with an uneven mount, I just doubt you would have the same experience. ... show more

So far so good! Used four pieces to stick a lightweight frame with photo against the cardboard back of our stand-alone buffet's hutch. It hasn't budged since putting it up 24hrs ago. Loctite has the best glues around, so I'm hoping that will extend to it's mounting putty tabs. UPDATE 02/20/2017: Since last May 2016, the putting tabs have kept the small photo of our puppy Pug, Elvis, up and it hasn't budged! It's holding up really well! I had ten 11x17 posters I needed to hang, and decided to give this classic adhesive a try. The pre-perforated stuff was much easier to use. I just used a pair of scissors to cut each stick along the perforations, and used 3 pieces on the top and 3 pieces on the bottom of each poster. This worked perfectly. I realize this stuff can and does stain lighter colored walls, but in my case it wasn't an issue as the room is painted navy blue. I highly recommend if you need to easily hang up some poster art. I don't know how well this stuff would work on a larger 24x36 movie poster, but I think you'd need to use at least 12 pieces per poster. ... show more

Great poster tape that I use in my classroom. It sticks well and, unless you have super flat paint, it will come off very easily. Occasionally, I will have to get out a sponge and rub moderately to remove remnants. If it stays on way too long (over two or more years?) it can leave what looks like a small oily-type spot. That can be washed off, as well. Luckily, I use these for letter-sized posters in my classroom that I frequently take down and refer to. It works perfectly for that! ... show more
