This was a gift for my granddaughter’s 4th birthday. She wanted to go outside right away and make the animals with whatever we could find. Any weed or stick or flower made her laugh. There turns out to be degrees of difficulty depending on the child’s sense of provision. The resin material is quite hard and durable. When I saw these, I bought a set for my grandkids (eldest 2+) and one for myself! The product photos on the Amazon page make each body appear to be one solid piece of painted wood--literally adorable, little sculptures. Even the main and secondary descriptions at top say they are wood. However, upon receipt, I was surprised to see that they are each composed of a composite, wood particle material, with two bilaterally symmetrical halves joined with a visible seam. What a let-down! I then checked reviews and saw one that mentioned this fact. A few photos showed the seam and material in detail, but the buyers did not mention them. Also, I discovered that upon looking further, the product page had some videos and photos in which the seam and material are slightly visible if you are looking for these issues. Likewise, a few places mentioned the composite material. While there truly is a great deal of description of sizes and information, the main product description should be more clear about the composite “wood,” and product photos should clearly show the seams. I plan to keep the set for my grandkids. I'm not sure about the one for me, though. I find the seam to be very distracting from the overall aesthetic, which is remarkably beautiful in both concept and design. But that seam...... ... show more
