I loved how these lights turned out. The picture I took of them at night is a little washed out from their brightness - they looked great. The individual strands could connect closely together with small plugs and a cap that screws together so the connection is tight and weatherproof. I took a picture of the connection between two strands. Each also comes with a longer cord of the same material with no lights that plugs into the outlet. That was nice to get ~10 feet more from the extension cord I was using to the tree. The light strand can connect either to the end of another light string, or to the end of the longer light-free cord. When I took them down I was surprised to see a lot of rust in the little light fixtures. I didn't have any issues with their lighting. All bulbs stayed bright through December. We had just a few rains (Phoenix area so pretty dry overall). I took a picture of them wound up where you can see the rusty bits. This is after just one month of use.
