  • Perfect for those with small lawn.
Size: 13"
Not going to lie....it looks like a toy due to the size and color. I get weird looks from the passers. However, it makes it lighter and easy to use. I have small lawn, so this was the perfect solution. No electric cord to handle and no gas smell. Battery does last long. For storage, take the receptacle out, loosen and fold over the handle assembly, you can stand it up to minimize the space it takes. Height setting is easy to use plenty to control how short/high you want to cut. No complaints. Gave 4/5 star for the maneuverability because depending on whether the grass is really long or there is a slope, you need to give some power to move it. This is because motor is not connected to the wheels. Note that there is no power to the wheels, as with any economical lawn mower. If you have a good size lawn or have slopes, not sure if this one will work for you. Also, I try to minimize rolling it on pavements because since wheels are plastic. Easy enough to lift it and carry. Motor does make a proper lawn mower noise. It's not like a electrical car where synthetic noise has to be added due to the quietness. It actually sounds like a regular lawn mower. I was actually surprised by it. With small and flat lawn, this is the one to get. It's small, battery lasts long time, it cuts well, and storage takes no room. Loving it. ... show more

  • Thoroughly Impressed! Quit Paying oil companies..
Size: 13" U20
I waited until i used the mower a few times, in differing conditions, before reviewing. We have an old house, located on a typical small city lot. I don't have a big yard to mow, so I bought this little guy. I have a push, reel mower made by Fiskers which I love. But, due to the constant rain that we get in this part of WV, and vigorous grass growth, the grass gets too high for the Fiskers to cut. I absolutely refuse to line the pockets of big oil to mow my lawn. Gas mowers are loud, they stink, and with gas prices as they are, why should I pay to mow my lawn? The lesser of two evils IMO, is to pay for the electricity to charge a battery. Since I have a small lawn, 35 x 100, a small mower is much better to mow around front yard ornamentation, so I chose the 13" mower. I looked at a huge number of cordless mowers before choosing this one. I only have the original battery at the moment, but will add a 2nd battery. It was easy to assemble out of the box. It only weighs ~ 25 pounds, so it's easy to lift. It has a small footprint for storage. The battery takes about 2 hours to recharge after its depleted. You can store a 2nd battery in the battery compartment, so if you need more power, it's at hand. The mower has a plastic blade, which I was unsure about when I saw it. But, it mows great!. The instructions were confusing about starting the mower. To Start you MUST do this, in this order: 1. Push and hold the button down. 2. Grab the throttle bar and hold it with the handle (just like a gas mower). It starts.a Once started, you can let go of the button. The mower stops immediately when you let go of the bar, just like a gas mower, but faster. The mowing path is 12", which is narrow. It's perfect for maneuverability in my little yard. My concern was the back yard. Some of the thick grass had grown to 24" high. I didn't think I'd be able to mow it, and expected to have to use a string trimmer. I've been waiting for it to dry out, but that's not happening. I have standing water in the back yard. But, we had a break in the rain, and the temp was in the mid 60's, so I mowed. We have an 88% chance of rain today. The mower worked like a champ! I pushed the handle, lifting the front of the mower over those thick, 24" patches of grass, and it chopped it all down; then I just mowed over these areas. I would have done the same thing if I had a gas mower. I've not used the bag attachment. The grass is being cut into small pieces. I wouldn't consider it "mulching", but they're small enough that I don't worry about the cut grass killing off the growing grass. I'm actually really shocked that this mower chopped that insanely high grass!. Being so light weight made it easier. I really love this little mower. It has around 60 minutes of mowing time, enough for me to do the entire yard, front and back. I highly recommend the mower. ... show more

  • Ok for price
Size: 13" U20
Cons and Pros: Pros: Lightweight. Foldable. Cheap. Quiet noise. Big grass bag. Cons: 10min run time. Not powerful. Only cuts low grass. Turns off on medium/heigh/rough grass. Takes 2-3 hours to charge battery. The bottom line: for a small yard with good low grass it will work well. Anything larger or taller grass, it will run out of battery or not being able to cut through and turn off. ... show more

  • The Little Mower that couldn't
Size: 13"
While this mower is light, maneuverable, and easy to put together, it is also quiet. Now, with only a 20 volt battery, it only lasts for a short time in 80 to 90 degree weather. I have about a quarter acre lot of grass to mow and most of that in the back. So in front there is the 3 foot wide strip from the road to the sidewalk. There is also another 6 feet by 100 feet area in front. To be able to mow this area takes 3 to 4 battery recharges. This has changed from mowing the lawn in a 45-minute job to trying to get the front done in one day and neglecting the back larger yard altogether. With only 6 uses id the mower at full charge I have found the blade is already dull. I also found a larger section in the middle that is blocked out so there is only about 3 inches of cutting space on either side of the rotating blade. i have never had a new mower need a new blade so soon. If you only need a small section of grass to be cut at about 75 square feet then this mower will work. The mower i was using was gas powered craftsman 21 inch yes it has a bigger area but didn't take as lone and my wife has allergies and is unable to mow the lawn. Would not recommend this to anyone unless, I really didn't like them and wanted to waste their time and money. My electric weed edger does a better job. included a side-by-side comparison to what I have been using. One other thing is i have not had gas or electric mower that worked with bagging my clippings. Side discharge would be better. ... show more
