I stalled for a couple of years on buying a light table/tracing board but finally chose to purchase this one - and I am pleased with my purchase! This light tracing box is lightweight and easily portable. It is super thin so it is also easy to store away when not in use. The brightness of the lights works well for me, but because I tend to have vision issues, I would say that I could stand to have the highest brightness a bit brighter. I wanted to do a hand embroidery project on canvas tote bags but needed to find a way to transfer my image onto the bag. I found this great light pad and saw a review that said it works to see through canvas so I got it to try. Granted, the canvas was fairly light weight on the bag I have but I am convinced it would work on a heavier weight fabric too. The light only works as long as it is plugged in, just know that it does not have a battery so it will always need a juice source. The size is perfect to fit inside the bag and I could adjust the brightness easily. It is very lightweight too so not heavy to take with me when I need it outside of my home. I'm extremely happy with this and look forward to many future art endeavors with it! ... show more

My daughter uses it for drawing. I did think it was able to charge and she would be able to use it away from the plug. However that isn't the case. This must be plugged in at all times to be used. Aside from that my daughter loves it. Uses it daily for her drawing.
